24 Hour Fitness at Lake Forest offers a comprehensive fitness experience with amenities like an indoor pool, basketball courts, free weights, and various cardio machines. The facility is generally clean, and the equipment is well-maintained, with the added bonus of friendly and helpful staff. Group classes, including body combat, bring a dynamic aspect to the workout regimen.

Despite its many strengths, the gym faces criticism for hygiene in its restrooms and locker rooms, and its equipment arrangement could use improvement. Peak hours can get quite crowded, making it difficult to find available parking and workout stations.

Pros:

  • Indoor pool, sauna, and steam room available.
  • Basketball courts open.
  • Free weights and a variety of machines.
  • Friendly and attentive staff.
  • Numerous group classes offered.
  • Clean environment most of the time.
  • Good ventilation and air conditioning.
  • Ample parking space.
  • Recently upgraded equipment.
  • Affordable membership.

Cons:

  • Unclean restrooms and locker rooms.
  • Gets crowded during peak hours.
  • Lacks sufficient cleaning maintenance.

BASKETBALL EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY MORNING AT 6AM. A GREAT FULL COURT WORKOUT BEFORE WORK.

It is a clean gym, you will enjoy your workout here. Friendly staff.

As much as they want you to pay to use their facility, they sure do make it impossible to workout when you want if you have a child and need the play area open. It's h fair that those hours dictate when u can workout during my day off

Great place to workout! This is a pretty decent gym. It gets a little bit dusty at times, but it is clean most of the time. The air conditioning is always blasting. It is always packed with eager OC customers trying to get there butts in to shape.PROS: Swimming, Pool, Basketball court, and plenty of equipment.-Great classes-Very friendly gym. Even when its packed the members are friendly. Not jealous stares and meat heads showing off.-Plenty of ab machines/ benches-Large weight room upstairs-Clean locker room area-Cardio equipment is downstairs with extra machines upstairs-Great workout environment!-Open 24/7 (yes some 24 Hour Fitness don't open all the time in ghetto areas!)CONS: Bad air circulation in the Basketball court area.- Stairway is a bit narrow at the top of the weight room. Be careful watch your step. It should be much bigger considering how big the top floor is...- Get super packed during rush hour, but if you go an hour before or after it is not busy at all!Overall, this place is a great place to workout. It is a workout facility more than a gym. If you have every trained for a sport at a fitness center, this place has the same feeling.

This club is a diamond in the rough! Super confident trainers and staff. I love it.

I've been an active member of this fitness center for almost 2-years now and in all that time I can honestly say "every visit is so productive, I have exceeded my own expectations from my workouts". The facility itself is clean and odor free, all the equipment especially the new stuff is in good working order and ideally positioned. The staff is friendly and helpful and I can't say enough good things about the trainers I've gotten to know. In short if you want a great experience with better than expected results, this is the gym to join, period.

Good things first: this location is open 24-hours a day, so I appreciate that. The staff is also nice, but they areThat said, this location is wayyyyy overpacked and understaffedThe place is not well-cleaned or something because it has quite a funky smell from the time you walk in. That's a big deal with me, because it means there's bacteria everywhere and it's frankly gross. The floor in the weight room should be replaced where damaged because it's not very supportive and can be dangerous when handling free weights.I would wear gloves if you handle free weights because a lot of the handles have the knurling worn off. Be careful. There's not enough clips to go around so be careful or lucky when you get barbells.

I am surprised to see low ratings posted for this gym. I go to this gym 4 to 5 times a week and don't have a complaint. For $29 a month, it is worth every dime. The locker room is clean, the equipment is maintained, and the pool and sauna are in good shape. The Staff greets me when I come and go, Management lowered my rates when I told them I was thinking about leaving. No complaints there.Overall, great gym.
