Just joined. So, don't have alot to say for the people or activities available. I like the layout, that it appears to be clean and the variety of equipment & weights. Also, not to big but spacious.

Trash. Machines never get fixed, old manager guy thinks the place is a library, bars are dirty and rusted with very little knurling, there are holes in the ground, floor is uneven, I have never seen the dumbells racked in fact the rack is always at least half empty and not because people are using them, some of the rope cable attachments have been falling apart for over a year and I don't see them being replaced anytime soon, stupidly shaped plates make any lifts from the ground annoying (do you think people can't carry a circle?), the circular rubber plates are too small in diameter to be at the right height for lifts off the floor (I have no idea why someone would make something like that much less buy it), music turns off at times for no apparent reason (sometimes this is a good thing given their choice of gym music). This place gets the job done if you're visiting and can't sign a contract for another gym but if you live here, absolutely anywhere else is better. It's not even worth the $10/mo in my opinion.

Crunch just remodeled and it looks AMAZING!!!!! If you haven't checked it out, you do NOT know what you're missing out on! New machines are awesome! And they're only 9.95 a month with no contract! And the whole gym is under new management and really care about their customers!

Garbage gym. Smells bad. Equipment is always broken. Weights never re-racked. Never enough equipment to use. Nothing is in its place. Under staffed. Always disgusting sticky benches. Cobwebs and dirt everywhere, this place never gets cleaned. You can tell why its $10. The only good thing was the Manager when you finally manage to get a hold of one, there is only one, will help you.

I being coming for 2 months. Restroom is clean. Great price $9.95

It's ok - machines are usually not working and no place to stretch ( but can't beat the price ) .

Horribly managed, dirty, and the equipment is old. The free weights are everywhere and never organized. Also the startup price was $60 and when I moved to McAllen the branch charged $25 to start up... The franchisee obviously doesn't care for keeping the place clean.

The machines are frequently broken, treadmills, weights, and ellipticals. They also like to clean during the day and close off equipment during business hours randomly. When I was upset at that, I got barked at in spanish, and told to leave the equipment. Then the manager "Rick the Dik" got in my face all machismo, which is typical for this gym's culture, telling me what I can and cannot say.I want my money back. I have been a member for three years, and this is how they like to treat white people at this racist gym. Awful experience I only put up with it that long because is was 10 bucks a month. You get what you pay for.

I visited Crunch for the very first time 11/15/14 around 0930am. The male restrooms were very very filthy. Toilet paper on the floor, one toilet was dirty. The entire floor looked like it had not been swept or mopped for some days. There was no soap to wash your hands. 2 water fountains upstairs not working. Great price but I rather pay a little bit more and get a clean gym.

When I first signed up to this gym, it was Fuel, but the same people work there now and I had the most horrible impression to begin with. I wanted to use the 7 day pass (free trial) so that I could see if it was worth working my butt off to pay for the membership fee. When I asked one of the head ladies about the prices, I said, "I wanted to know which one was your most affordable price~ I'm not exactly sure if I can afford it if its pricey." and she snapped at me with a really snobby attitude, "Well, if you're not going to be able to afford it, why should I give you the 7 day trial?" So yeah. The only reason I got the membership was because I had managed to snag the 20$ price. It was the cheapest special with everything available. The time frame in between the membership went fine. Didn't have any issues until I had to sign up again once it turned into Crunch. I had already finished my two year contract but I continued paying 20$ a month; this time the highest price in "Crunch's" membership fees.It was absolutely atrocious. Worst decision I had made. I paid the partial yearly fee, sign up fee, and the membership price, etc., just to go to a gym that was poorly organized, packed as heck--I ALWAYS had to wait in line to use a treadmill and once you got one, it was probably broken and you get to stare at a wall or a black screen because none of the machines had the TV available. The classrooms were so packed, they had to make a ticket system for people to manage to get into a class.Needless to say, I got really tired of it.Worst thing is, I tried to cancel my membership. Called before the yearly fee would kick in and a lady on the phone said she'd take care of it. I knew it felt a little too easy. Later on I called to make sure it was cancelled but they told me I had to go into the building to cancel. Once I got there, I was told I couldn't cancel until I payed my dues, which was the yearly fee and the monthly fee for that month. And there was -no- way I could get it fixed in my account. I hadn't gone to the gym so there was no reason to charge me for the full month, let alone try to obligate me to pay the yearly fee when I was trying to CANCEL my membership. How in the heck does that make sense? Having to pay the yearly fee for something I wasn't going to use?Lastly, I tried to contact the business itself to see if it had some sort of customer service. Not only did the lady on the phone sound extremely apathetic, but she told me she couldn't help me what so ever since I had to go to my local Crunch for help.Well, I can't say that I didn't try and I tried my BEST to enjoy what I was paying for but I can't lie. It was an absolute mess in its entirety.I hope this helps people in some way. And for the record, I'm not bashing all of their employees. I've had really nice service from a lot of them. It was just a select few that didn't seem to care a single bit.By the way. I'm not paying my dues. Not only can I not afford to-- but I don't let people try to force me into paying something I won't use. I think that's simply common sense.~Rayjee
