I worked with Chris for ~10 months utilizing a 'wellness' program through my employer, and I will say that it was a game-changer. Chris clearly has a wealth of knowledge and experience but he also has a teacher's heart, so he'd always explain the what and why of each element of the strength program, share supporting materials, and patiently (and promptly) answer questions.I was curious (and a bit concerned) how 'distance' coaching would work for strength training, but I was pleasantly surprised by how effective his setup is; the Train Heroic app works great, and there are short How To videos for each element he prescribes.I credit Chris's coaching with getting me in my best shape ever and highly recommend.

I called ASI one day out of curiosity. I had been group training consistently elsewhere for a couple of years and was looking for a more tailored approach. Chris Dellasega (owner) answered the call and I immediately recognized a level of professionalism, focus and knowledge unparalleled in my experiences so far. Chris was able to assess and build a program to strengthen my weak points and propel all of my PR's to new heights. Every time I reach out with questions he has prompt, concise and effective answers. His programming has eliminated chronic pains I've dealt with for almost 15years. Particularly hip and low back pain using split squats. His prescription of external rotation exercises fixed a shoulder I've been struggling with for over 8 years.I've now been training and learning from Chris for almost a year and I'm feeling stronger and healthier at 32 than any other point in my life. If you're looking for a $10 membership at a corporate gym (with $10 results) to check a box on the list, you'll want to go elsewhere. If you're looking for a tailored effective plan to get healthy, strong or hit new goals in any sport, look no further.

I met Chris through Ad Astra running. He talked to us about the importance of strength training for runners. He spent time evaluating my physical abilities before providing me a personalized training program. He takes time to adjust my training for new goals I set and what I want to accomplish.I have been working with Chris since January 2018. In this time he has helped me improve my speed and endurance. I am pleased the results so far and look forward to continued development.

My 15 year old son plays baseball and has been training with Chris a couple of times a week for the last year. Chris provides a safe training environment and he always ensures the use of proper lifting techniques. His sessions are challenging and fun at the same time. Significant strength improvement along with quickness has been observed during this period.I highly recommend ASI with Chris and his team.

Chris Dellasega’s 12 Week Arm Specialization Program Bigger Better Arms is a must have book if you’re looking to take your arm training to the next level! The book is well formatted with clear instructions and diagrams that make the program easy to understand and follow, which was important to me as an online client . The workouts are fun, interesting and always challenging. I highly recommend picking up a copy if you’re looking to mix up your old stale arm workouts or even if you’re just starting to train. You won’t be disappointed! Great job Chris!

As a runner/swimmer/triathlete, working out with Chris has helped improve my fitness and times, while reducing injuries and time lost due to injury! Each strength training exercise has a purpose, with multiple sessions building strength for my body necessary for more advanced moves. Working out with Chris is a big improvement over my previous strength training routine.

This is by far the best strength training experience of my life. I have been working out with Isaac using the ASI system since January of 16. I have noticed huge jumps in both my strength and the definition of my muscles, especially my abs, which is funny as the system's early workouts for you don't even include ab-specific exercises; instead the entire workout engages the core. I really love ASI! I feel comfortable there, supported, and I know the guys truly care about my success.

I got tired of dealing with personal trainers who had a cookie cutter or one size fits all approach to training. After looking for quite awhile, I found The Athletic Strength Institute.Chris, the owner met with me and really listened to my concerns. I have some pins in my left foot from an old soccer injury and Chris was able to develop a training routine that allows me to see progress and results without beating my foot up too badly. These guys are the best in the area.

What I love about training at ASI is how much these guys know about the body and the way it is supposed to move - beyond that, they know MY body. Even when I am working out in a small group, Aaron is watching my movements, making sure I am using proper form, and helping my body get stronger and stronger. He knows the ways my body will try to "cheat" the movements and coaches to overcome those weaknesses. He knows when I can take more and pushes me past what I might choose for myself. If you are looking for a place to build strength for life and reduce pain caused by years of improper movement, you cannot go wrong with Aaron, Chris, and Isaac!
