I’ve been coming here for 2 years now and B&B has changed my life in so many ways. When I started I had been retired for several months. I was overweight and depressed. After taking the classes my outlook on life dramatically shifted. I felt rejuvenated. Life had more meaning to me then ever before. My energy level went through the roof and best of all I had found more meaning to my life.One aspect in-particular that really impressed me was the importance of the body and mind connection. I had tried other yoga places previously but none actually taught exercises that you can do to improve my thinking and provide me with a power to control my emotions.I can not recommend this experience more.

This is the only exercise routine that I have stuck with in my adult life! I have been a member for over 2 years. I love Body and Brain! Barbara and Sholeh as well as the other members are so welcoming. You come to feel like you are exercising with friends and family. The yoga we do is more like stretching - and you stretch every part of your body each class as well as focus on breathing and being mindful about how you feel. It has done wonders for my anxiety. I sleep better. I generally feel better. And know what to do when my mind and body are getting tense and anxious. So wonderful!

The moment I stepped foot inside the Body & Brain Yoga Studio at the Riverwalk location in Lawrence, I knew there was something special happening there and I wanted a piece of it. The studio was (is) clean and bright...and the people that had just finished a session were full of energy and bubbling over with enthusiasm about class.The friendliness and kindness of the women running the studio (Sholeh & Barbara) was reflected in their members.Once I began taking classes, I soon realized that "this was the place for me". From the warmups through all of the stretches, breathing techniquesand relaxation directives, I felt a deeper connection with myself and my surroundings. It's a program that I truly believe is for everyone, no matter what their physical condition.Body and Brain is not like any other Yoga program I have found. B&B Riverwalk is wonderful! Whether taking yoga or Thai chi classes I always leave feeling relaxed, energized and focused. The studio is following all COVID protocols and I always feel safe. The outdoor classes are such an awesome opportunity to feel part of nature while working to focus my mind and body.

Body&Brain is a wonderful place to heal and strengthen your mind, body and spirit! It has helped me tremendously on all levels of my well being. Since I became a member, I have increased my physical strength, endurance and balance. In addition, I have learned many techniques that help me manage stressful situations and negative thoughts/emotions.I appreciate the sense of community and support that Body&Brain offers. The center managers/trainers are genuinely compassionate and helpful and are dedicated to helping members reach their individual goals.I always feel super relaxed, energized and empowered after completing each class. They are a wonderful combination of strengthening exercise, stretching, balance and relaxation-I highly recommend trying a class!

This studio felt nurturing and safe and fun as soon as I walked in. My husband and I tried out an intro to TaiChi, with Sholeh. We were gently playfully guided through slow body movements and coordinated breathing. We both left noticeably relaxed. I am thinking about becoming a regular.

Body and Brain classes are by far the best classes I have come across. It is a full body package that relaxes your body and mind. I suffer from constant back pain and when I take the classes, the pain goes away and I sleep peacefully. It rejuvenates the mind and body. I would recommend it to everyone!!!

This is truly an amazing place. I have joined other yoga studios and they are just average. As soon as you enter here the warmth and genuine kindness is immediately felt. As a nurse I know the importance of keeping our brains active. The program incorporates 3 different types of activity for our entire body. Barbara and Sholea are so very good at teaching and keeping everyone involved. I look forward to every class.

I am so thankful that I discovered this place! Body and Brain at Riverwalk is a wonderful studio. The instructors are so welcoming and always provide modification options up front so that it is accessible for everyone. This practice has helped tremendously with my physical health and mental well-being. I find that aside from feeling better physically, I am so much calmer because of the focus on being in the moment that is promoted during class. I am able to take small pieces of that practice back into my everyday life, which has improved it tremendously. Thank you for running such an exceptional practice!
