I understand the importance of social distancing but I find it unnecessary for them to close 5-6 treadmills in between the ones that are open... most other planet fitnesses only close 2-3 in between. Everyone is wearing masks and spaced six feet apart so they should really consider opening more cardio equipment.

Literally half of the machines are blocked off, making working out certain muscle groups near impossible. Also poorly lit and there's no AC in this gym. If you have a black card, DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM

Approximately a year ago I gave my Credit Card information to one of the attendants at the front desk. I did this to cover the costs of the membership for a friend of mine. I did not sign anything (which is important here) and told them that I only authorize the membership fees No worries. About 8 months go by and I have decided to no longer pay the membership fees for this other individual. I call the General Manager and he tells me no problem, he'll remove my card information. The next month comes by and I get charged again. I call back and talk to the General Manager (it is a female this time) and she tells me that she can't remove the card because there is no other payment method to cover that persons account. I told her that was between her and her "account holder". She said no it isn't and wouldn't remove my card from being charged. I told her to produce some contract that I entered into and she could not. I then told her to cease charging my card then. For three consecutive months now my card has been charged and I know for a fact that the account holder has not been in the place. I signed no agreement with them and I can tell you if they produce anything they have forged my signature. Its crazy to have to write a poor review for a gym that I've never even worked out in. Shame on you planet fitness. Your "Agreement" is with the account holder and not me....RETURN MY MONEY!!!!UPDATE: 03/12/2021. The owner seems to like to respond on here by saying please email and we'll take care of this and then does absolutely NOTHING TO HELP. It looks good that he/she is responding but the answers is "Geez, you really have to handle that with the store". Well, here we are again, MONTHS after this review and a lot has happened. My friend went to Planet Fitness approximately 3 weeks ago and squared the account so that they could start going again. Yet, here we today and I get another notification from my Credit Card Company asking me to update my information with Planet Fitness because they denied a charge that they (Planet Fitness) tried making. Why? Because in order to stop them from charging my card originally I had to cancel my old card. The owner who said they'd resolve it never did a thing; the location in Andover was useless. NOBODY would help. So I had to cancel my credit card. Do you know how much of a pain that is when you have a list of like 10 companies who are doing automatic payments and you have to call them to update your card. All because one company is acting ILLEGALLY by charging a credit card that they have no written or verbal authorization to do so!!! I have no idea how you are still in business and they Attorney General's office has failed to get you on illegal banking practices. Stop charging my card. And don't respond to this review by asking me to email you...the first time did nothing. I give you full permission to post here what you've done to rectify this as long as you redact my Credit Card numbers, my address, and my last name.

Membership cancellation cannot be done by phone. I had to personally go and cancel the membership. After 5 months i noticed that they started charging me again. When i called the customer service, they were super unhelpful and did not take any responsibility. I emailed the customer service and till not did not receive any response. Please be careful and check your account to see if charges creep up. Cancellation does not mean actual cancellation in planet fitness. I am very disappointed by the unprofessional customer service. They did not even check to see if i have visited or if there is any activity in my account to find more details. I have paid more than $100 for something which i dint use and now i have to go there again to cancel the membership.

Planet fitness had me sign up with the intention of a 24/7 gym which is why I agreed to pay for a black card and didn't mind the scarcity of employees pre-covid. I wanted to go to the gym at 12, 1 or 2 am without trouble and it was fantastic.Since then.... I'm not sure what planet fitness is doing wrong but they never seem to have enough employees, rarely a trainer around to help you out and sadly no scales or body fat calculator machines.I love the comfortable environment but I will say there is little sanitation of machines and if I wasn't vaccinated I'd probably be a bit more worried.

This is an amazing full body workout! The instructors take time to show you correct positions and are very informative! Everyone from front desk staff to instructors are super positive and welcoming.
