Don't know about the shower rooms but the main staff are helpful and they taught both of my kids to swim proficiently by the end of the summer.I am beyond happy with the progress and development that me children have shown and I directly relate it to this ymca. Most of the people who come to the gym are friendly. Not a very big weight room and can fill up fast.

The Y has the cutest staff members. They're always so willing to help and they're great for a good laugh before and after your workout.

My experience did not go well so far. I became a member for swimming classes. The youth changing room does not even have a bench to dress the kids after the class. In a 30 min class of 6 kids, they are 3-4 minutes exposed to the lesson per kid. Then we came for Tuesday scheduled Bounce House. Ooops they were under resourced and they decided to cancel it, you can imagine the disappointment of kids. Then we went to game room to spend some time, but it did not have a single game in it except a pool table with one broken cue. The staff is friendly and trying to help, at least admitting guilt, apologizing.

We have been members for over a year. We have never had any problems. Our kids enjoy the child care staff. They are always doing activities with the kids. Definitely would recommend.

I have been a member of this facility for four years and could not recommend it more. The staff is professional and friendly and the facilities clean and modern. The pool schedule is a little crowded due to agreements with Coppell ISD and their swim team, but in general, I find most of the facilities available and members friendly. There is a large, well-educated Asian community in Coppell that utilizes this YMCA so you are likely to find many of the swim classes in particular populated by Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, and Korean kids and their parents. Most of the other facilities like the basketball courts, exercise machines, and weight lifting readily accessible users ethnically diverse. They also accommodate many special needs and handicapped members as long as there is no safety issue.

I have been a member 10 years and think they provide excellent service. I especially appreciate the help they provide people with financial needs and the occasional employment for handicapped people. If you are swimmer you need to check the times carefully because they do share their pool with the high school swim team.

Avoid this place; my experience with this facility has been very disappointing. Their swimming facility staff applied rules selectively based on their whim which was overtly discriminatory and when confronted with it their membership person responded with threats. There are many other places that will treat their members fairly and this one is not one of them.
