Genesis Health Clubs – East Lincoln

I’ve been a member here since Dec of 2019. They were great during the pandemic. The cleaning and sanitation hasn’t slowed down either. The friendly and family feel makes me want to come back on a daily basis. Ben can set you up with a physical trainer that can help you develop your own workout plan. also suggest stopping and seeing Marie at the Cafe. She really has a great staff and tasty recovery shakes.

Been coming here for years, and my kids love it too. I love the facility and the amount of equipment available. Staff is courteous and pricing is fair. It’s home to a great mix of fitness and leisure, and that’s invaluable to me.

I love going to Vanessa’s classes. She is a joy to be around and an excellent instructor. I also worked out with Brenna, as my personal trainer and enjoyed that too. She provided a wealth of knowledge which I am incredibly thankful for. Prairie Life/Genesis East Lincoln is a great gym. The staff are helpful and friendly and the building is large and clean. My husband and I joined this gym in 2015. We thoroughly enjoy our Genesis family. It’s our home away from home.

Incredible Gym! This place has the best staff and community in Lincoln hands down. Everyone is incredibly helpful and the facilities are very clean and well kept. Every time I scan in, I am greeted and I have never had a problem here.

Genesis is a super interesting place. I signed up for a membership and went to take a look at some of their locations. 70th & A Location was super rundown it seemed. I went to play basketball but the gym almost looked like the scene of a horror movie, old style tiling, almost like a doctors office. It was smaller than anticipated truth be told. The lady at the front desk didn't seem too happy to work there. Greetings? Forget about it.It was enough to just make me cancel, I made that decision driving home so I stopped back at the O street location. Super nice inside that gym, but the amenities in there wasn't what I was looking for so I continued my journey of cancelling.Talked to the manager there, I had signed a form stating I was cancelling. It was during our interaction where he almost seemed sort of joyed to tell me that I would be charged for another month before the cancellation goes into effect. You know when someone feels they have one over you and can't wait to tell you how they "Got ya!"? This was the look he had. It was to his dismay that I was in the 3 day cancellation period and would be refunded back all my money (he didn't even know that was a thing). His demeanor changed slightly.He gave me a phone number to call their billing department to let them know I am cancelling, So I called that number. The lady on the phone assured me that she was taking care of it.I call back today, a week later. No sign of the money being returned, no notes in my account, nothing was done. Fantastic. Mallory in your billing department was super nice, probably the only silver lining in all of this, she promised me she's getting the refunded started right away, that it will take less than 30 days to get my money back and that I will be indemnified.Genesis was an interesting interaction, can't say you'll see me again though.Update: it is currently 3/28/2022. After two MORE calls after this review I STILL have not received my refund. I was told I’d receive a call back but never did. I really hope this helps others in their attempt at finding a gym. I tried to stray away from the YMCA specifically because of a sauna but I can say for sure they’d never do anything like this, will be going back.

We have been so impressed with the swim program at Genesis. My oldest has been doing swim conditioning for almost two years and competed in swim team this summer. My youngest has moved from private lessons to swim conditioning. The teachers and coaches truly love what they do and the kids. Julie, Jeff, Sue and the team are incredible! A great place to start your littlest with water exposure and safety and continue on with a fantastic sport with great kids and coaches.

I’ve been going here for about a year and 1/2. Although not perfect always, genesis is a great place to join if you wanna reach goals in a friendly atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Management fixes issues when they become aware of them. The regulars are a good group too. Look forward to continuing to reach new goals and heights thanks to the quality people and quality equipment.

We utilize Mighty Camp for our summer program. They have amazing staff and have a great selection of activities to keep the kids busy. I LOVE IT that they take them on a field trip once a week and are encouraging and introduce the kids to activities like tennis that they might otherwise have no experience with. They also focus on problem solving and being a kind friend. My daughter loves the camp and has made great friends. This is our second year. I also appreciate that Mighty Camp is flexible if we need to pull her for a few days. As long as we give notice two weeks prior we are not charged. It is amazing to be able to have structure to our summer yet flexibility if we decide to take a short trip out of town or mix it with other camps.

The gym and facilities are great here, but the classes are the real selling point! I was nervous to try group classes, but so glad that I did. The yoga classes are great, but the water aerobics class is my favorite (shout out instructor Vanessa!), even as a person in their 20s. The instructors cultivate great community and camaraderie in their class, making each person feel welcome and at home. I look forward to class each week.

Open late, lots of machines an indoor track , pools, sauna. Nice staff and been around for a long time .
