Great for what I want. Good equipment with lots of variety, and the group classes are top notch. The fitness instructors are awesome (Go Katie and Kelsey!) and the schedule is convenient. Plenty of machines so never a wait. I didn't think the contract or sales pitch was any different than any other gym. I could probably save $10/month by switching things up, but the gym quality and experience is worth it to me.

Decent gym for the price I pay. I don’t ask for much and they don’t give much. It’s open when I want. They have what I want. The locker room is usually smelly. I’ve asked about it to no avail so whatever there. Staff turns over a lot but I don’t rely on them for anything so whatever there. It would be nice to be a bit more appreciated upon check in and once inside from staff but whatever. The front desk has gotten better with the addition of some new faces. They seem to get it. It is not always the cleanest but I see them trying to take care of that. It’s not a dump but it could be better. Again.. I like it for the price. If I was paying more than I would require more. I do fee the trainers are kind of a cash grab. I see them doing the exact same things for all different types of people. That doesn’t really sell their product when you are on the outside looking in. Looks staged like a wedding DJ playing the same songs regardless of the event style.

Felix was the person that gave us the tour and helped us sign up for our membership. He was very helpful and personable. He really made us feel like we were making the right choice in gyms to help us reach our fitness goals! We have taken a few different classes in the last month and each one has been challenging and fun. The staff is friendly and helpful as well!

I have noticed a real change in the gym as far as classes and personal training go. While I don't take advantage of either as I have my own workout regimen, it has been a pleasure to see the new personal training staff and how personal they are with their clients. I have been to gyms where personal trainers are on their phones while their client is performing an exercise and I have not seen anything like that at Genesis. All of the personal trainers are involved and hands on with their clients which has been awesome to see. I also love the variety of classes offered and integrating the community and non-profits into the classes. Bottom line is that Genesis has really made a turn around and I'm proud to be a part of the gym.

I have worked with two trainers and both of them are great and willing to correct your form. All of the employees are friendly and willing to help. I never have to wait for a machine and the instructors for the Cycling classes on Monday and Wednesday night push you to your limits!

So far my wife and I are loving this gym. There are rarely lines to use any of the equipment, and they have everything you could want. There is a great variety of classes. The trainers are all knowledgeable and friendly. And they have daycare in case you need someone to watch the little ones for a bit.

Very clean, equipment always works well, or is fixed promptly. Really great locker rooms with private showers; dry sauna is especially clean and relaxing after a workout. Staff at this location are very friendly and happy to help out. As a former retail building, it lacks windows -- I prefer the Pine Lake location for its abundant natural light, but both are good gyms!

The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, highly motivated, and awesome people to be around. I've never been in a gym with a better vibe. No matter if your goal is to simply stay fit during vacation or to train like a hardcore athlete, Genesis has what you're looking for. The front desk staff are simply awesome always greet you with a smile! This is the best gym around!

While the facility itself is more than adequate, a big share of the staff need an elementary lesson in customer service/people skills. I joined this club when it was Aspen Fitness and the staff then were terrific. They were all very personable and actually seemed to care about their clientele, greeting them cheerfully when they came in and wishing them a "have a good day" when they left. Sadly, this is not the case a the O street Genesis club in Lincoln, NE. While most acknowledge customers when the arrive, this is largely because they must interact with them because of checking them in. Having said that, I've had several instances even then when I wasn't spoken to. Upon leaving, it's 50-50 regarding the chance of getting any kind of "have a nice day" and this is regardless of whether or not there another customer at the front desk. Keep in mind, I would continue to come to the club even if their were robots working their. But since its real people working in a service industry, I kind of expect a little more hospitality. Lastly, when Genesis first took over, the new management made a big deal out of touting all the improvements that were going to be made, speaking of bringing in new equipment and having complementary towels. Well.... Non of that has materialized. One thing I have learned in many years of various service industries is not to give customers an unrealistic preview of what services you're going to provide. That includes the timeline in which this things were promised. Again... I like the club largely based on the facility itself. The three star rating I gave could easily be bumped up to a 5 were the staff more friendly. One last comment and somewhat of a possible reason for the staff's attitude might be the attitude of the manager. I've talked with him a few times and he is definitely not a people person.

Awesome gym, came in for a quick workout while out of town. This place has everything, cardio, strength machines (HAMMER!!), CrossFit (with a legit Oly platform), awesome locker oops, showers and sauna, yoga, personal training, you name it! Couldn't ask for more
