We had a wonderful experience at this location. The instructor was incredibly patient with our son. The staff is very kind. They don’t try to twist your arm or force you into signing up for anything that you don’t want to do. The facility is very clean. It’s a nice location with a coffee shop located just down the way. I really can’t say enough good about it. We signed up for a package and are looking forward to spending lots of time here! I highly recommend that you check it out.

We have been with Rockstar now going on 5 years. The experience they have and share with us is first hand, and real training experience. Coach Joe is a humble and experienced Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu instructor. His passion shows with every class he teaches and all his students gain with every class.

Our son has been with Coach Joe for about 2 years. We have tried other gyms, and Garrett doesn’t want to train with anyone else! Coach Joe teaches core values along with Jiu Jitsu it’s an awesome experience!!

Rockstar South McKinney is the best Jiu Jitsu gym in the area and the personal attention you received is second to none. They make everyone feel like part of the family and that doesn’t stop when you sign up. We’ve tried other gyms and talked to many places in the area as we were trying to find the right coach and gym for our two boys. The way Coach Joe breaks down the moves for the kids and values technique over power puts the other gyms to shame. The world-class Muay Thai instruction is a huge added bonus. I wish we would’ve found this gym so much sooner!!!! Give them a call and try a class. You won’t be disappointed!

Coach Joe Garcia and Rockstar have worked with my kids for the past 3-4 years. Can’t express enough how glad we are that we started this program. My kids have learned and continue to learn discipline, respect, life lessons and also how to defend themselves when necessary. These kids are forever changed and confident as can be. Their activities have come and gone over the years but this is the one constant in their lives and will continue through adulthood. Joe always took his personal time out to discuss any issues inside and outside of the gym.

I trained Muay Thai and Jiu-jitsu for several years with Coach Joe when he was the head instructor at another Rockstar location. His eye for detail is amazing and he is great at spotting and correcting bad technique. He switches things up regularly in order to keep it interesting and to maximize your physical fitness and fighting skills.He is also great with kids and demands that they put 100% into their efforts. Training combat sports can be dangerous if the kids aren't listening to their teacher or respecting their training partners, and Coach Joe makes sure that when they are on the mat they give their full attention and respect. Great life skills to learn at a young age.

We love this place. All our three kids (7, 12 & 14) tried at least 1 class. Our 7 year old wants to go everyday. Our 14 year old, who is extremely introverted is also really enjoying it so far and will probably become a regular.Coach Joe is amazing! He is very patient and adjusts his style for each child. The owners are also wonderful! Our 7 year old loves it so much that he's decided to have his birthday here at the end of the month!Highly recommend!

My son has attended Rockstar South McKinney location for a few weeks now. I feel with each class he gains more confidence in himself and his abilities. Coach Joe does really well with the kids. With some younger kids they do get distracted but he is able to get them back on task and focused. You can see each child who attends the class grow and enjoy their time there.
