Had a membership there for a while, the facilities are not well kept. Equipment and facility are not cleaned often enough and feels gross inside. App never works good enough to go get the updated schedule for group fitness. You’d think you’d deal for the price. Membership fees are 90$ for the year. I canceled a month ago due to pregnancy as I am often sick and unable to work out and am still getting charged a membership yearly fee of $90 this next month. Apparently when you cancel you must pay the next two billing dates. I considered this to be truly unfair, to have to pay a member fee when I’m no longer a member. Manager said she’s sorry I don’t like their policy but that’s policy. So I’m out $90 for a gimmicky policy all the way up from corporate that managers have to uphold. Will not be a member again and no I do not recommend this club.

Garret was super helpful when setting up my account. He told be the pros and cons of each plan and recommended the one that would best fit me. He didn’t try to up-sell he was honest and very helpful! Would definitely recommend this gym to anyone that is looking for a nice place with friendly people!

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT HERE!The equipment is mostly older and more than 1/3 of the machines do not work properly or are out-services. The gym is nasty; I often found giant cockroaches living and dead for days in the same place. Also, in the women's workout room, I didn't find paper towels to clean the equipment for the three times I visited it. I tried to cancel my membership because I was going to move out of the city. They canceled my husband's membership but not mine because I didn't have enough prove (a certificate of marriage didn't count). It was a nightmare; I had to go to the bank to get a specific certificate and It didn’t work for them; the manager didn't help me. They thought that I was lying, trying to cancel the membership. I had to call the San Antonio office to cancel the membership. It was a waste of time (it took me more than two weeks). I was in Planet Fitness (monthly plan, easy to cancel), and I changed for this gym for the group classes, but I had to enroll in a contract, which I regretted. I do not recommend this gym!

I'm a membership holder here and have been getting a run around this morning on the phone with their customer service. I'm sorry for the poor review but they do not have a complaints department. Only people to complain about grievances or GMs or Regional Managers who have seem fit to not take phone calls. Just emails.I went to the portal to update payment info. I click on transactions and see two scheduled drafts for around 48 dollars for "Gym Improvement". For 8/12/19 and for 8/12/20.Recently a location in Midland Tx was taken out of commission forcing people who hold memberships to pack into the remaining two. My husband and I have complained about lack of cleanliness, the cramped fashion and old broken machines. I would think taking those constantly broken down machines out of service to at least relieve the congestion. My grief is that they are worst off right now than gyms who cost 10 dollars a month when TruFit boast being a luxury gym. There is a constant worry of getting into an altercation with another patron here because of the gym set up. I asked if they plan on opening another gym to relieve the pressure after closing one and the corporate headquarters didn't have an answer. I said that them closing a gym in my area after signing my contract should allow memberships to at least air their grievances and to be allowed out of their contract. Much less apparently I'm funding gym improvements after the quality has gone down? Trufit is not living up to its "luxury gym" name at all. It is inexcusable to not have a department to hear these gripes but that's how you get reviews such as these.
