At age 28 I was roughly 230 lbs at 5'10". I had a health scare, and knew I needed to do something to get healthy again. From the moment I stepped into Roufusport, I knew this was the place for me. From world renowned instructors to the inspiring team atmosphere, I signed up immediately. I started in May 2010, weighing in at 223lbs. I put in the work with the support of an amazing team and staff.....By the end of the year I was down to 175lbs and had Never felt better in my life! I now have a skill to defend myself, a sport I can compete in, made some incredible friends and met a lot of amazing people. With kickboxing, jiu jitsu, and MMA classes for Men, Women and kids, I highly recommend Roufusport to anyone looking to get in shape and have fun doing it!!

Joined the club after a 10 year absence of anything physical. I missed being active, I missed light competition, and I missed being a part of a team. I showed up, not just a little nervous that what I was getting into.Day 1, they made me feel a part of the team. You can be as competitive as you want, or join purely for exercise.After a year into it, I have a ton of new friends, and an amazing hobby.

I've trained at Roufusports for two and a half years. I've never had any real fighting experience, but after training here I've came in first and second at my last two Jiu Jitsu tournaments. The coaches are amazing and make you feel like family.

Duke Roufus 4-Time World Kickboxing Champion, head coach of the academy and coach to many UFC/Muay Thai/Kickboxing champions and contenders. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program headed by BJJ black belt Daniel Wanderley is amazing and very well structured .If you check out Roufusport MMA Academy be ready to have fun and learn ALOT.

Milwaukee is home to an amazing group of MMA/BJJ gyms and the high quality training partners/coaches that go with them (Roufusport, Neutral Ground, RSMMA, 360, Pura, Sage). Roufusport is a standout within this group because of the wide range of disciplines that they offer (BJJ, MMA, Boxing, Wrestling, Kickboxing, Fitness etc), each taught by elite-level coaches in a world-class facility. This gym is large, very well maintained, has access to heavy/speed bags, sparring areas, and great BJJ mats. The teaching style is top-notch. Even in large-group formats, the coaches provide one-on-one feedback, developing each student’s strengths and addressing weaknesses in real-time.

This is by far....my home away from home! I've always been big on combat sports, but never really had any outlets or guidance. It took a long time to find a place to train at, and I contemplated boxing gyms but they never fully peaked my interests. When I found this place, I discovered Muay Thai Kickboxing, BJJ, MMA style training...the kind of diversity anyone can ask for! The coaches are all on point with what they do, say, and hold everyone to a high standard. Being here for a year now, I can safely say this is my favorite place to be on my free time. :) I've already recommended several friends, and I am hoping to do the gym proud when I can earn a shot at Kickboxing competition! Definitely a place to come see!

There is no denying the family atmosphere at roufusport. I joined a little over a year an a half ago, about two weeks before the birth of my first child, with the thought of attending classes multiple times a week. Predictably, I couldn't reach that mark after the birth. Even though I only attend classes sparingly, I am always greeted like an old friend. They even called me to check on me after a particularly long time away from the gym. Also, it is clear that it doesn't matter to the staff whether you have dreams of becoming a world champion or if you just want to get in shape, they will support and encourage you every step of the way. And, with the truly world class coaching staff at roufusport, the pressure is completely off of you...all you have to do is show up and follow directions and you will reach your goals!
