ARKA School of Jiu-Jitsu

My 7 year old and 5 year old love this place and are always excited to go. Coach Rubio is so patient and kind, and teaches them discipline and self control. Jiu jitsu is great for building your kids’ confidence and self esteem, and Arka specifically is a wonderful place with great coaches and community. Highly recommended!

Everyone at ARKA School of Jiu Jitsu is so welcoming! Coach Wancler is very knowledgeable and patient with all of his students. Jiu jitsu is the best self defense for women and has helped me with my confidence!

Everyone is so kind and patient, and happy for you to learn and advance. Coaches are incredibly qualified, you’re always greeted with a smile, schedule is flexible, place is clean. You can instantly tell everyone is happy to be there. For someone trying something new, this is a great place to feel comfortable and confident in your ability to grow and explore what you can do. I’m very happy I joined and I strongly recommend this place to anyone interested in jiu jitsu, or even just challenging themselves with something new.

I recently joined the school and it's been amazingly welcoming and encouraging for all levels. I have always liked contact sports and have become completely hooked; and it's all due to the teachers and community they've fostered.

Took my first class there yesterday, the instructors were extremely informative and taught at a great pace. Everything was easy to understand concepts and most importantly SAFETY! I am usually a gym rat and the workout here had me pumped. 10/10 will be going again!

I don’t know where to start with this review 😂 My niece always rushes me to get to the school 30 minutes before class because she loves it that much and doesn’t want “to be late”. 😅 People of all ages would enjoy their classes.The Head Instructor and his Instructors create a judgment-free, genuinely friendly community, which I’m not used to seeing in a sports/fitness business. Especially as a bigger girl who is self conscious in any fitness-related setting, I’ve never felt embarrassed and never felt so welcomed. ☺️

1st time ever trying something like this out. The trainers are amazing, the people are cool as cucumbers! Me and my son love bonding while trying to tap each other out!

We recently joined ARKA and I am absolutely glad we got our girls enrolled. My kids are 5 and 8 yrs old. They look forward to going as often as they can (4 times a week now) and they love all their instructors, especially Mr. Oliviera, who leads the kids class my girls are in. These instructors have a heart of gold and are extremely patient with their students. I admire how they work with kids at their individual levels and arrange their exercises/ lessons in a fun manner to keep the kids focused and interested.In the short time we’ve been attending, my daughters have already developed a sense of belonging and I can tell they’re confidence has gone up too. They come home from regular school day asking to get their homework done fast so they can make it to jiu jitzu practice.This place makes you feel like part of the family and everybody who is apart of it are extremely respectful and lead by example.I also love that there is a seating area for you to hang out and watch the lesson. They keep everything very clean- sanitizing the mat and floor before the next class. They also allowed us to try a few times for free before committing. Charles was the one who answered all my questions, set us up and is always great to talk to whenever we drop by. I definitely recommend everyone try them out!

I’ve learned Jiu-Jitsu at several different school previous to Arka. The instruction, camaraderie, and skill at Arka is incredible. I’ve learned more in less than a year here than I have at any previous school. There’s something for everyone from beginner and up. And the kids classes are incredible. My daughter has been coming for close to 6 months and her overall improvement, physically and socially, is remarkably noticeable.
