I especially love the pools! Three all told; indoor and outdoor lap pools and a very nicely heated therapeutic pool. Something for everyone!

I’m glad to know in shape is not having a hard time i. This pandemic . Still charging start up fees & $40 a month and you could only use their dumbbells basically. And it’s outside.

The entire staff & club members truly are second to none ! Highly & strongly suggest that everyone should get a membership to In Shape health clubs , mainly because of this gym in Modesto !

Amazing experience and everything is available to take your health and physical fitness into your own hands. It is also encouraging to see other people working out and striving for good health. Great gym!

We have been trying to contact this club for several days. They never have anyone on staff on the weekends to help. We call and it just rings until i get the mail box is full and can't leave a message. Most ridiculous customer service of any gym I've ever been too!Update! 11/13/2020.. we emailed you the same day I posted last review and have yet to hear anything from anyone. The bank wound up reversing the charges because they couldn't reach you guys either. Will NEVER use in shape again!

They closed down my gym in Ceres permanently. I had to cancel my membership, because they raised the fees, and I wouldn't be able to make the time to work out. I like to work out at 10pm, after I worked 12 hours. But overall it is a good gym, that got hit hard with this pandemic, and wished they kept it open in Ceres. Good luck out there.

enjoyed the pools wish the inside pool was a bit warmer, the worse part is the hot tub its out in full sun the metal handrails are to hot to even tough even after splashing with water its seems very dangerous. I bring in a pair of oven mitts to get up and down the ladder.

In-Shape has found creative ways to offer gym services in this odd time. The McHenry location is clean and offers lots of options. Unfortunately the appointment system is a bit broken. While trying to sign up a new member on 2 different occasions no concession would be made to let that person in that day without an appointment, well the gym had no appointments available. So 2 drives wasted trying to expand their business. And today I arrived 6 minutes behind my appointment I was not allowed in. I work out of town and traffic is unpredictable and not in my favor today. Another drive wasted. I would have been happy to cut my time in the gym short 15 minutes to allow for other guests or discuss another option. These 3 confusing situations have left me gym shopping.

I don't like the idea of shared pool lanes when the Lanes themselves are too narrow. My experience from two days ago was terrible. I tried doing it and it just ruins my routine. My counterpart probably has a different routine than I do and it just throws me off, especially when I'm a bigger person. Other locations here in Modesto have lanes that are the same width, but they are not shared Lanes at all. Just like the Manteca location, is there a way to change the indoor pool to there Lanes?

Lots of weights and cardio which I like. They kept sweating everybody about the masks during the Newsome color codes. One day I actually got kicked out of the gym for the day for having to be reminded to keep my mask up when I was doing the elliptical( there was an argument). Most of the staff are nice and leave you alone. There is no real competition in this area to compete with this gym; that’s why they stayed in business after filing for bankruptcy.
