If you like free weights , this is not the gym for you. A small selection of machines. Dumbbells only go to 60lbs. But very clean and so much cardio options, you will always have a machine. So not bad, especially for the money.

Tried the one day free trial membership. Would consider the $10 a month with a dollar down and $39 a year fee. But I noticed a lot of people just sitting on the equipment with their phones so you could use the equipment until they move. Seems like more of a hangout spot for people who wanted to just say they went to the gym and do Instagram or tick tock videos of themselves. Also while my wife and I were in the 29 minute circuit area the rap music they were playing did have cuss words in it, so I would not advise bringing kids or people who just don't want to hear foul language like we don't. Still might consider joining but definitely not at the annual contract. The only difference is that I can find of any value for the larger long-term contract is a tanning bed and massage chairs. You're not allowed to see any of this in action if you don't join. Was told by one of the female staff members that they do not let you look at them or work on them unless you do the annual contract. She said that she guaranteed I would like it. When I asked what type of guarantee she says I don't know but you can get your money back if you pay $50 to get out of your contract. I think the day pass should allow you to at least try the equipment before committing to an annual contract. Also since I gave them my email they were promoting shirt sales for some sort of show your support for a particular group that has nothing to do with working out. When I want to go to a gym I want to work out not support some political group or wait for some kid to finish their Instagram post. Just wondering who they're taking pictures of.. 🤔.Since we live in riverbank this is their closest location. Still on the fence of whether joining them or another gym in riverbank or In-Shape. Especially since they're both running specials on membershipsUpdate. Working-out now on their black card plan. Although the machines don't work very well for the massage chairs there upgraded tend to be a little rough not like the old ones they had or professional ones when you go to a chiropractor's office. Or even the ones at Costco. The massage tables with the water pressure or always down and not working on the Orangeburg and Oakdale location. Run across country and they were nice.

Can be packed at times of the day where it shouldn’t be but so far I haven’t had a single issue with this gym. They got new machines July 2023 and its always cool inside.

I've been coming here for about a year now, and NO ONE has ever told me that I can't use my own Barbell pad... until today. I have my own pad that I use because Planet Fitness' are always old, don't velcro anymore, don't stay in place when I'm hip thrusting, or have enough to go around. So I've just always brought my own. Plus I know it's clean vs the gym ones. Apparently this is a huge issue now, and something that isn't tolerated anymore?? I understand not being able to bring your own dumbells and your own weights, but a piece of Styrofoam that sits in between my body and a bar is too much? As someone who struggles with gym anxiety as it is, i felt judged by staff and it completely killed my motivation. I'm just going to cancel my membership and find another more accommodationg and judgment free gym than waste my time, but I hope PF changes this in the future and is more open minded about equipment like this.

Better of the two planet fitness locations in Modesto hands down they offer more machines and more stalls for weights so you can easily get your workout in. Plus they have a lot more variety in machines as well. I rarely see any of the machines out of order. A lot less crowded than the other location as well most likely due to its location.

All workers need to have a meeting and be told the same thing. I asked 3 different workers if they have more barbell pads since they only have one on the floor and I was told that they are ordering more and that I should bring my own (this was a month ago). Fast forward to this month when I finally bought my own pad but 2 different workers told me I can’t use it so I told them what the other workers said and I received a smirk and just a “Yeah we’re ordering some more”. I don’t understand how bringing my own equipment that the GYM LACKS affect other people’s workout when that should at least help with people’s waiting time.I’ve been going here for a year now and not once have I experienced an issue about wearing open-toes shoes (slides) until recently when they sent me back home for this reason. I’ve seen people workout using their slides as well since it’s more comfortable especially during leg day.The left smith machine near the mirror has been broken for MONTHS. Not a sign was put up so people still use it which is extremely dangerous!

Equipment that has been "temporarily" down, have been down for the last 3-4 months. What a joke, considering the charge $39 yearly for equipment maintenance

Amazing gym at an affordable price, they’re also in the process of remodeling. Tons of new equipment and of course the same willingly members.Love it here, even more now lol. Can’t go wrong by simply adding this to your gym collection if your “one of those”.

They are remodeling but still open while they do it, but hours may differ so you should call
