BJJ Lab Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Self Defense

Great program and welcoming of all students of different levels. My son and daughter have attended for years. Their three cousins from out-of-state wanted to roll as well. Two cousins are yellow belts and one cousin had no experience at all. BJJ Lab welcomed all of the kids with open arms. The yellow belts learned new moves and the third cousin was able to keep up with the pace of the class. Such a friendly, personable and accommodating staff!

Hands down best BJJ academy in Illinois. Great community, amazing professors, really healthy environment. My kids absolutely love it as well.

Great place to roll. I was there on business and did a few drop ins and everyone was inviting and friendly and the staff very professional. Each student from white belt and up had great skills and I appreciated the variety of quality levels to learn with. The format of the class is, in my opinion, the most conducive to leaning the art well. I have been to many schools around the world and this by far was my favorite way of learning the art. It is no wonder why everyone was so skilled. Thanks a bunch for letting me roll with you.

Joined the team one year ago after Jessica Swanson seminar and I am loving it! Jessica is a great athlete and coach, always motivating us. 101 and women classes are excellent! All coaches are great, very respectful and helpful. Gym is super clean and with good vibe! Couldn’t be happier, highly recommend this team!

BJJ Lab is full of amazing instructors and helpful training partners. They have classes that range in experience level designed to help people that are just starting out to people that have been training for years. The facility is excellent and the environment is very welcoming. I’m very glad I signed up for the free class because I was instantly hooked.

I left another Academy in order to train at BJJ Lab. That ended up being a great decision! BJJ Lab has a better atmosphere along with amazing instructors. As a newer student I have discovered that most of the higher belts are glad to share their wisdom and assure a great training environment. The facility is kept very clean and I recommend giving it a try!

BJJ Lab is an awesome place to train. All of the coaches and the students are very welcoming to everyone regardless of experience. It doesn't matter if your intentions are to compete or just learn the sport, the coaches are very supportive and encouraging. The facility is always clean and the team does of a great job of making sure it stays that way. I have been very happy with my decision to start training and competing with the BJJ Lab squad.

I've trained at other gyms, but I've finally found my home. The gym is clean, the kids instructors are fantastic, and the people make you feel like you're part of the family. The women's group is amazing, and Jess is a fantastic instructor. I'm so happy I found this place!

My five year old son has been at the BJJ Lab for one year now and he LOVES it. Not only has he learned a tremendous amount and his skill has improved drastically, the instructors do a great job of making the classes kid friendly and enjoyable. Additionally, the atmosphere is welcoming and everyone feels comfortable diving in to classes despite level of experience.

My sister and I decided to switch gyms from a gym we have been out for 2 1/2 years. We found BJJ Lab through a seminar with Jessica Swanson, an amazing black belt instructor. We started attending their women’s only in class and we are so thankful that we did. The support that we have gotten from the instructors and the other members has been amazing. This place is fun, friendly, not stressful and clean and I say that because I’ve visited many gyms across the country and in Europe. This has been an amazing experience and I recommend anyone who is interested in BJJ to check out BJJ Lab!
