The Edge Fitness Clubs

Phenomenal experience every time I walk in that door!! Jon is super calm and very detailed with exercise form!! No exception, every trainer is great!!

Absolutely fantastic place for athletes( or any one who favors healthy living). Very happy to have switched to this gym.

Edge is clean and well equipped for the casual workout staff is friendly and respectful. They have "9.99" membership although as soon as you sign up you find out that it's only 9.99 when you don't cost out the annual whatever fee. Still a good value and haven't had any bad experiences.

I was an xsport member for about 4 years before joining edge. Edge is miles ahead in terms of cleanliness. They also have a ton of open space to stretch and do cardio, they have a spin studio which is amazing and a massage chair with a hydro bed near the entrance. Pretty awesome. I only wish they had a hip thrust machine and a hip belt squat machine. Other than that its almost perfect.

Pretty nice gym and equipment, borderline evil business practices.Firstly, If you use the free trail pass that requires signing up with your phone number, prepare to receive 2 calls a week, every week, until you sign up. They will borderline harass you until you smarten up and block them.Secondly, I've been trying to cancel my membership since I moved about 3 months ago. I moved greater than 25 miles away from any Edge Fitness locations as per their contract, so I should have been out no problem. Nope, I was looking at my bank transaction history and I was charged yet again on Feb 27th, despite receiving an email on Feb 5th confirming that my membership was cancelled.The Edge is a crazy ex that will not leave you alone.

I do enjoy the gym and its amenities. Lots of options as far as equipment goes. Clean and seldom overcrowded. It would be be a four star review if not for a number of items: the main floor is often littered with gym bags, especially the speed training lanes. When not littered with gym bags the speed training lanes have people stretching or doing kettlebell training, instead of using the wide open area designated for those activities. The sauna's lights are on sometimes, but often not. I've attempted showering there multiple times, but half the time there is no hot water... Even after letting the shower run for 10+ minutes. I have even shown up just to find the gym closed during their hours of operation with no explanation.Honestly, not a bad gym overall, but for the amount you pay, these items should be more closely regulated.

At first I thought it was a decent very clean gym and it still is (I signed up for a gym membership about a year ago), the rules involving having to wear a mask during that time was even more annoying than at other gyms to the point where a few times I had a staff member come up to me to tell me to put on my mask after I took it off for a few seconds after my set so I can breath easier. Plus another staff member was getting on my case because my mask was too small for my face.Because of this I eventually cancelled my membership which is a very weird process. Plus alot of the staff members seemed incompetent at their jobs from what I've noticed and like I mentioned before they were really annoying about the mask rule (don't know if they got rid of it nor do I care because I no longer go there).Now is this gym a step up from Xsport? Yes (minus the lack of 24/7 access) but is this the go to gym in Illinois? Most definitely not as there are much better options out there.

I saw an ad on Facebook and decided to give this gym a try. I have nothing but positive to say about this place. Very clean and organized, super friendly and helpful staff, it has all the equipment you need plus a movie theatre. I’m ready to start my new fitness journey with The Edge.

Busy all the time but you cannot beat the value for how low the monthly payment is. It’s a clean and well kept gym. It feels wrong not giving it a 5 star rating but the only thing stopping me is that it’s busy.
