I am not a gym person at all and haven't stepped in a gym for at least a decade, or more. I walk, bike, and do yoga mostly. But I decided to try Orange Theory to get in some resistance training and to push myself a bit more. The idea of exercising according to the science appealed to me and my doctor said I could use some more anaerobic exercise. I tried a class at the Soho location and absolutely loved it, and the instructor. I signed up for a package of classes on sale (which never expire) and that will give me a few months to try it out before committing to a monthly membership. In short, I have loved the experience so far. The one thing I notice right away, after taking a couple of classes, is that my body feels the effects of the workout but I'm not in pain nor have I injured myself pushing things too far, too fast. That is a testament to the method and to the instructors who ensure you are in good form while challenging you into your "orange" zone and beyond sometimes.

The entire management/coaching staff has been exceptionally welcoming since my first class. I had never been able to stick to a workout regiment for more than a couple of weeks until I came to OTF Soho. The environment is what really stands out for me. The staff is always greeting everyone with a smile, the coaching is motivational/informative, and the workout is competitive but not intimidating.

I travel around the country a lot and have been a member of OrangeTheory for several years. I spent a few months in New York and attended classes at this location and I have to say it was one of the best locations I’ve been to so far. The staff and coaches are all so great.

I don't normally write reviews but the customer service I received stood out to me and I wanted to share. I signed up for a "free" first class to try out the place. Although because this is Manhattan, their "free" class is $20. I agreed to that because I've heard great things about orange theory. The class was great and the coaches themselves were lovely. In that sense, I give it a star. The management however has disappointed me. A couple days later, my $20 was refunded and I was charged $35, the price of one full class. I called to ask about a refund, as I was only informed about a $20 first class discount charge when I checked out online, and the manager, Sam, told me that because I am not a full time resident of Manhattan, that they cannot honor the discount. I have lived in Manhattan my whole life, born and raised. Probably longer than anyone who works there has lol. I go to college, so apparently that means I am not a full time resident. Keep in mind that I never signed anywhere that I am not a full time resident, I verbally mentioned that I go to college 2 hours away to the manager when she gave me a tour in person. Goes to show that you have to watch what you say, which is a shame. The manager stuck to her script and no refund was given. I'm no stickler for $15 and it wasn't the money that mattered to me, but it was a real shocker that $15 means more to them then gaining a future customer and loyalty. Sad to say I won't be attending this location, and I urge you to carefully consider your decision! Based on other reviews, there is a lot of untruthfulness regarding fees.

I was visiting New York City and decided to go to this studio since it was the closest OTF to our hotel. The vibe of this studio is very different from the other ones I have visited, with the big glowing Splat as soon as you enter. I almost missed the 'Soho' mural on the other wall, which is pretty cool! The SAs were very friendly, and acknowledged my birthday the minute I signed in. Coach Frankie was very engaging, and corrected forms on the weight floor pretty often. This studio also provides complimentary workout and shower towels, which not all studios do. As I was heading out after the workout, the SA gave me a SoHo OTF waterbottle for my birthday! As someone who collects a lot of OTF swag, I really appreciated this gesture. Highly recommend trying a workout here!

I’ve been coming to this studio since it first opened. Friendly staff, awesome coaches and friendly members. Staff welcomes you always with a smile, making you feel like home. Coaches help you keep motivated to push yourself harder. It’s also very nice to chat before and after class with other members! This studio seems to be one of the first ones in the country to try new technologies! Very cool!Thank you OTF for helping me changing the way I was exercising. I have improved my fitness so much!
