TMPL - Astor Place

A very well-run gym with good equipment and a clubby vibe. The new management seems very sincere and the staff are kind.

TMPL Gym at Astor Place is my “happy place”, I love it!! From the minute you walk in the door and are greeted with great energy by one of the lovely people at the front desk, Kayak, D’Janae, Charlotte, Miguel, Kim or any one of the staff. The warm welcome always starts right as I step in the door and I am off to a good start. The gym has a great layout and ample room, even when it’s a busy time of day I feel like I have space to breathe and all of the best equipment for my workout plus a beautiful workout studio as well. The trainers are friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable, the team is great with Teddy, Sarah, Edward, Juan and the rest, they are always happy to share their tips and maybe a laugh as well which is so nice. The management team is fantastic, with Natalie bringing so much good energy to the whole space while also looking after everything meticulously. Maurice and Abid are ready to welcome new members and keep the flow of new people coming at the right level. I can’t say enough about this gym because from top to bottom I just love it so much and the team here. It’s 10’s across the board for me!! Oh and there is the amazing DJ Pumpkin spinning the best music two nights a week to bring extra energy and inspiration to my workouts and his music is amazing!! Best gym I’ve been a member at by far!! 💯💯💯

Tmpl Astor has raised the bar! As a former equinox memeber I can confidently say I prefer tmpl. The staff is incredibly kind, the trainers are highly knowledgeable and guide you to your fitness goals. Lastly, the new sauna is fantastic and the perfect recovery combo alongside the hydromassage beds.

I love TMPL! I’ve been going here for almost two years and it is my happy place. The equipment is amazing, they offer a ton of different classes, and the locker rooms are really nice and clean. I always leave feeling so relaxed. The staff is also great. Astor is my favorite location but Lexington is worth checking out for the spa as well.

I’ve been to so many different gyms but tmpl took the bag for me! The facilities are so nice, lots of space and ample equipment, squat racks etc. Abid helped me and my friend get our memberships set up. He was soooo sweet and patient with all our questions and concerns. I live further from Astor but I liked this one and abid so much im willing to commute to it! 10/10 recommend

i love tmpl astor place! i go to nyu and it’s right across the street. their team is so nice and welcoming. charlotte showed me around to the women’s locker room, spa, and disco ball dj! she is wonderful, charismatic, and friendly like the rest of the staff. the space is beautiful and clean. thanks charlotte!

My 8 years of going to Tmpl formerly Nysc provided me with the best service I had encountered , due to ,mostly the staff that work at Tmpl , whenever I check in I feel right at home because the staff knows who I am by name and that’s important, especially when it comes to customer service. Amongst my favorites are Kimberly who always greet me with a smile ,she is one of the hardest workers there, that’s why she’s been around since the nysc days , She’s the only staffer that I know who is still there since I started, that has a lot to say about her work ethic .

I love this gym! The staff are incredible- Charlotte Goldberg showed me around the facilities and helped me with all of my questions. AMAZING customer service. Will be coming back.
