Iron-Bound Gym

Outstanding local gym with friendly staff and a wide variety of equipment and classes. They open early and stay open late so it's easy to find time to exercise. Highest recommendation for the relaxed or serious gym patron.

Both the folks that work here and the folks who work out here are generally quite friendly. There's lots of equipment -- however, perhaps too much given the space. The free weight area is about right in terms of density, but everywhere else feels cramped. The owners/managers are also clearly trying to cultivate a "cult" culture for the gym which I find off putting, though it isn't pushed too hard so you can simply ignore it. There is a month-to-month membership option, which is nice.

Ironbound Gym has it all. You are always greeted with a smile and always feel welcome, have access to top-notch equipment and classes, and clean locker room/showers for getting ready before work. I also love that it is a small business and that the owner, Scott, is always there and knows you by name. Very different than the other franchise gyms in town. If you want to support local business and be a member of a fantastic gym AND community, IBG is the place for you!

Ironbound has been the best gym I’ve ever come in contact with. The staff is always super friendly, the atmosphere was always welcoming, the equipment was always clean and up to date, and the facility is well kept as well!! The owner is extremely personable and is extremely easy to work with! I would highly recommend the gym!

I’m in Williamsburg on the weekends and normally I go to American Family Fitness with my boyfriend, but they’re being strict about signing people in. So, my boyfriend suggested Iron-Bound gym and I actually like it much better than American Family Fitness! I’m already a member at one life, but I would definitely come to Iron-bound when I’m in the area to workout! It’s small, BUT has everything I need to do my workouts! And the hospitality is definitely welcoming! I’ve already told my gym friends at one life about Iron-Bound Gym!

I have spent quite a bit to build a garage gym yet this is the one gym that I will keep a membership in. The staff is great, the place is clean and we'll maintained. They are welcoming to competitive athletes as well as the first time gym goer. They have a well stocked space with plenty of equipment to meet most people's needs.

This is by far the best gym I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a member of. Staff is incredibly helpful and always in a great mood. The equipment is kept in great shape and they have enough stuff to keep everything going even a busy hours. You won’t be disappointed if you join this gym.

Definitely the best Gym I've gone to. Hardly ever have to wait for equipment, the facilities are very clean, the membership is very affordable, and they have the friendliest staff you could ask for. Scott, the owner, is super personable and nice, and obviously cares a lot about cultivating an inviting place to workout. Great gym, could not recommend any higher!

I was in need of a gym due to quarantine and me being away from college, so I decided to come here due to the student membership option. On my first day, the staff and people were very friendly and informative. From then on, every time I came in, it felt like home and a second family; you don’t find that feeling in commercial gyms. Also, if there were any issues regarding anything, Scott Grafton (the owner) and other staff were very helpful in resolving any issue I had. I highly recommend this place not only for fitness but for a nice, friendly atmosphere as well.

By far the best gym in the area. As a member for six plus years (having been a member at other gyms previously) I can honestly say this is the best. New and updated machines, clean, and a very friendly and welcoming environment. The owner is all about giving back to the community and the events are frequent and fun! When my daughters would visit, they would use the gym as well and our sentiments are the same. Keep up the great work, Ironbound Gym- I wouldn't sweat anywhere else!
