I joined Waverley in July when Gyms re-opened. I was/am impressed with their efforts to keep the place clean, people appropriately separated and thankful for the air filtration systems they have installed. Regular workouts are essential to my health & wellbeing. Walking outside on concrete was destroying my already damaged knees.

I recently joined after memberships at other local clubs in the area(Bodyscapes and Equinox). I have been very impressed with the cleanliness and professional staff that work there from the front check in, to the membership specialists, trainers, and instructors. The members all abide by the rules of the club and it’s a great place to work out. It’s very spacious, and that helps with keeping safely distant from members. The virtual classes are an added bonus, and are very adaptable to at home use as well. I highly recommend the club, esp. in these crazy times of Covid.

One of the best fitness centers in the region, friendly staff and people overall a great environment to workout. All the equipment are very well maintained and are available at ease. Worth each and every penny you pay.

Very nice health club. Clean and well managed. The equipment is modern and in good working order. I don't participate much in the group classes but I did hire one of their personal trainers and she was great. I really like WOAC. One of the best managed gyms I've been associated with.

I have been going to in-person classes since a week after the gym resumed offering them. I am so impressed with the safety and cleanliness measures that were put in place and are constantly upheld. Instructors have told me that Waverley Oaks is far and away the best at this of the different gyms they work in. I seriously encourage members to come in and check out what they have to offer. Even before the pandemic, Waverley Oaks was, and continues to be, an incredible value for the money.

I love this gym. I joined it in covid time and I was concerned about how safe it's going to be.. but this gym checked everything off my check list. Front desk is very polite and always greet me. Everyone wears masks properly here. All the areas are marked with 6 feet distance.. More than enough space for everyone to work out. Very good ventilation. I highly recommend. Very spacious gym.

I have been a member since 8/20. I primarily swim and have been very please with the club and how they have handed all the difficulties over the last year. All the staff have been great, and I always feel welcome. The pool area has been kept very clean, and safe. I plan on expanding my gym experience as time moves forward and use more of the facilities.I find the people who come to the gym to work out to be very respectful .

Honestly, this is a great facility all around. Members are respectful, the staff is friendly and machines are well taken care of.So I’m writing this before COVID restrictions are fully lifted since there are just a couple small things that I’ve seen. One thing is that none of the toilet paper dispensers work throughout the building. The toilet is constantly spraying all over the rolls, I’ve seen them on the ground, people coming out of the pool grab them and get them soaked and I even watched a lady go in and put her phone down on top of the roll (which I assume many people do) so that’s pretty gross. The facility service employees are also a little awkward as well. They’ll sit and wait right outside your stall door waiting to clean it or lean outside the single bathrooms just waiting and it’s a little uncomfortable since you can just hear them standing there? Also, when we signed up they did say the hours would extend after COVID restrictions are lifted. So, I’m waiting to see that, but for now they open pretty late in the morning which is a little inconvenient. Especially on the weekends.I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price tag of $150/mo, but other than the few things I’ve mentioned it is a pretty great place to workout.

On many occasions the towels provided were dirty. A “clean” towel handed out by the front desk had a large mess of mucus and blood dried to it.I complained to front desk and manager about how disgusting the facility and looker rooms are.Nothing changed. Haven’t been for months.Disgusting!

Most things about this facility are great - members, staff, amenities, classes, equipment etc. However, I wish I could say the same for the management. Working there for a over a year led me to this conclusion.1. Feedback from staff to management typically is not taken well. A well run healthy living center facilitates the needs of its members while takes into consideration the expert opinion of it's staff. Unfortunately, I had never felt this way at WOAC since all of my suggests (aside from one or two when I first started) were heard but more or less put aside. It's hard to describe a "we have it under control" response.2. Policy changes were implemented with, oftentimes in my experience, inaccurate information. One example of this is, at the time there, management bought four Olympic lifting platforms - which to their credit was awesome - which are specifically used and make to drop barbells since it's safer to drop a barbell in rare circumstances than slowly lower it down. Management wanted to ban dropping barbells on those platforms (even though that's exactly what they were made for) for "safety reasons" (even though it's safer in certain times to drop it). Trust me , I'm not one to make a lot of weight in the gym and I'm a pretty big stickler on gym etiquette - but I was asked to inform members not to drop weights in this area because it could hit someone - instead of teaching when to drop, why and making sure no one was near when performing these activities. Sort of takes away the utility of the equipment.3. The last and most crucial issue I've had is managements focus on only what's above them. I did not feel respected at this facility and in turn did not respect management. From the staff's perspective, it felt like management curated a "management vs. staff" culture as opposed to management helping staff improve member satisfaction. Happy staff make for happy members. Individually it was really easy to care about the members but management made it difficult to love the facility.I would love to see WOAC change it's culture to one that seeks feedback and welcomes criticism equally as much as it offers help and allows transparency. Definitely a facility with a lot of potential though!
