I went here like 2 years ago and I'm not sure where my comment went but I guess I should repost.Pros)1-The owner seems enthusiastic and nice2-Its a great workout3-There are lots of available times to go4-Space is kept clean and you can rent or buy the boxing gloves which are sold thereCons)1- Although the owner was nice the rest of his staff seem negligent ( When he was not the teacher no one corrected my form or even checked up on my group at all. His time was spent flirting with a cute new girl)2- I never got a member card ( I signed up for a year and was told I would get one in 1-2 weeks. I asked every time I went and did not receive one for an entire year. It just made me feel isolated and unaccepted)3- There is no drop in rate. ( I usually will go to a place a couple times before signing up for months at a time. The smallest amount you could sign up for is a month and it was pretty pricy. I just feel like something is wrong if you require your members to sign up for at least a month after 1 class)4-The class was repetitive. ( I know repetition is key in honing these martial arts skills, but it just seemed like there was no variation in any class. i.e. It got old quickHonestly I probably still would have stayed if the rest of the staff was as nice as the owner. I just couldn't go back when:1-They were not consistently correcting my form( I went there to learn Muay Thai not punch/ kick a bag for an hour.)2- I was blatantly being ignored on multiple occasions. (I didn't even get a hello how are you from some of the staff)3- I don't like doing this, but I am black and there are very few minorities in any of the classes. So, if you want to just punch and kick a punching bag and not really learn anything join this community, but only if your a cute blond.

First time I met Jake the owner of HOMT he was complimentary and kind. Learning a martial art can be intimidating especially if you’re older but HOMT is a welcoming environment and Jake has a rich history and authentic approach to the world’s best striking martial art. Whether you just want to get fit or compete House Of Muay Thai is the best place to do it.

The vibe in this gym is so unique and positive. A very rare environment for the city of Norfolk. The instructors are skilled, attentive, and genuine. Something seriously special for this community.

The guys and girl here are super knowledgeable and cultured in the Muy Thai ways. Great for learning the art or if you just want a HITT workout. Any level of training is welcome.

Finally found a gym with genuine training and a Team welcoming environment. It’s great to train again with fellow Nak Muays looking to improve themselves and others. It’s also awesome to sit back and watch these young fighters pursuing their fight careers. My highest respect to all of them.

Great experience. The instructors there care about you getting the most out of your time there and they also make sure you don't get left behind doing strikes incorrectly.
