24 Hour Fitness in Oakland offers a spacious gym with modern equipment, a pool, sauna, and steam room. Despite its extensive facilities, the gym faces significant challenges in cleanliness and maintenance. Many members appreciate the staff's friendliness, the variety of equipment, and the overall atmosphere, but frequent issues with broken machines and theft concerns frequently overshadow these positives.
Security and customer service need improvement, as numerous reports indicate unresolved theft incidents and poor staff responses. Maintenance issues, especially in the showers and locker rooms, detract from the gym's overall appeal. Despite these issues, some members find the gym convenient and value for money.

I like that it has big parking lot; there is also sauna and swimming pool available; I hope that they can replace in some new machines because some are very old

Inconsistent in explanation off fees. A fee that didn’t exist when you signed up is for sure there. Company just keeps passing the buck left and right just hoping you get tried and just give up

When all the steam, dry heat, hot tub and towels are working. Boys are cute, it's great.

Duh, it's a gym. The bathrooms are always broke and dirty, but people are nasty. The staff is great and considering the location, it could be a lot worse.

Jackie at this location was so helpful. She answered the phone so friendly and answered all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed or frustrated when she explained clearly to me my options with my membership yesterday. She was so helpful it made me cry. Thank you again for all your help ms Jackie. Ps you need all the recognition!-Wanda

Big gym but it can get pretty crowded. The weights are never put back where they're supposed to be. I always have to look around for them. The locker rooms smell.

Customer service in very helpful and friendly. The reason I give 2 stars: Showers are often dirty with hair, are smelly, and have no hot water.

Extremely unprofessional service. Money looters. No proper presentation of service for customers. First tell you one thing, later come up with a thousand excuses to charge you more and loot you. They lie and always try to push you indirectly for purchasing the membership which obviously indicates all they want is commission out of their job. Money money money!!!

Been a member for over a year. I’m one of the less socially “popular” crowd ( overweight, physically disabled, “poor” and otherwise not meeting our dysfunctional social standards of “success”). Normally use the gym for physical therapy during off hours (12PM- 5AM) This morning I get harassed in parking lot by an employee banging on my car. They should know legal definition of “loitering” means hanging around for an UNLAWFUL purpose. Excuse me for living on the fringes of our social insanity!?! Aside from that, the “acceptable” clients tend to trash the parking lot - like “fitness” doesn’t include the environment we are ALL part of. I’m GLAD to not “fit in” but I wish this place would remember that me, and others like me, are STILL a part of society AND PAYING customers!!!
