Great gym with great people! Liam and Eddie are great fitness coaches who encourage you and help you get better with your fitness goals! The group fitness trainings are fun and challenging. Liam and Eddie are very knowledgeable and always ensure proper form to prevent injuries during the workouts, which is so important. Each workout is tailored to everyone’s fitness level and comfort as well. There is a wide range of people and fitness levels at this gym, so it’s very welcoming to all people looking to get into fitness. Definitely recommend!

I had the chance to have a training session with Liam while I was in the Bay Area this weekend. Liam was a phenomenal trainer and has a plethora of knowledge when it comes to fitness training. He focuses on muscle groups you want to attack and creates the perfect workout routine! Will most definitely be back.

I had a fabulous six month experience at Impact Fitness. Relocation out-of-state was the only reason for ending my membership. Liam is a top-notch business owner, attentive to his clients' needs and ensures his staff and the gym are running efficiently at all times! I loved the small group classes and appreciated the amenities (e.g., multiple bathrooms, showers, lockers) and cleanliness of the space. I highly recommend this gym for all levels!

As the owner/operator of Organicity Bodywork and Training, I've been working and sharing countless clients with coach Liam for about 5+ years now. As a bodyworker, I've had the opportunity to hear in great candid detail how clients feel about training with Liam; his trainees consistently report that there is no better trainer they've found. He truly embodies the accessible, supportive, and motivational qualities that are critical to clients' success in a fitness program. He is an expert in rapport and behavior change, but also has an incredible ability to meet folks where they are at, without the judgement or ego that are so common in our industry. I've seen the sacrifices Liam has made in order to benefit his clients so many times (especially during the pandemic), and it's a pleasure to know someone who really "walks the walk" to keep learning, growing, and be an all-around good human.I've also received mentorship from Liam when I was a newer personal trainer, and was able to see and receive firsthand the benefit of his enormous wealth of knowledge and experience.His gym facility is also large, well-designed, and has all the top-notch equipment needed for his trainees, from beginner to performance athletes. Recently moved to the east bay and was searching for a local strength/conditioning facility and stumbled across Impact Fitness Oakland.As someone who has been strength training for numerous years, I can tell say this facility can fit anyone's strength training needs.I've been training here with Liam for approximately 2 months and he's a great coach that helps you get the most out of the workouts.Bullet points:- Individuals of different shapes, sizes and strength levels train here which is great to see (not an intimidating environment)- Great amount of equipment (barbells, dumb bells, bands, etc.)- You train without shoes! (kind of cool, works on stability)- In group training, Liam surveys the area to ensure strict form is being utilized (this is important as no one wants to get injured)- Liam asks for your feedback (on class schedules, types of workouts, etc.)Highlight: Liam has a very personable approach, checks in on your progress and genuinely cares about your growth. Never any pressure to sell you more training or random products like some traditional gyms might do.One thing to note:- The roads to get here are horrible (but that's Oakland for you). Potholes like there is no tomorrow.Overall, if you're looking for a great, easy going environment to train at give this place a shot!

Best gym I've gone to! Small classes mean you get the attention you need, Coach Liam and Ed are great at correcting your form and making sure you don't get injuries. They also pay special attention to existing injuries and will provide alternatives for any lift as needed.The programs really help you gain strength and are very well structured. I'm never bored as the programs change monthly and keep you engaged. Highly recommend coming here!*bonus points: the music never misses! :)
