Vanderson Gomes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

I was really bummed that I didn't get to meet Mr. Miyagi before he passed, but not anymore because I have the privilege of being trained by the Brazilian jujitsu equivalent, Vanderson Gomez.Great Professors, great group of hungry motivated guys, and always an awsome vibe. Feels like a family and I'm very thankful to be a part of it.

My 3 boys and myself train here, the boys enjoy class and professor is very patient when dealing with children. For the adult classes he takes all questions and breaks techniques down in small steps explaining each detail so that you have understanding. He motivates us to be a better version of ourself and for our families. Other students are welcoming and friendly like you were training there for a long time.

When they were making martial arts instructors, they broke the mold after making Professor Van. My kids (all 4 of them!) typically do not take to new people very quickly, but by the second lesson they were hugging the Professor and treating him like family. He takes the time to give each student individual attention, cares about their safety, and ensures he meets them in their comfort zone. One of my daughters is less physically adept than the other kids but Prof also makes sure she feels special, strong, and successful. She walks away from BJJ lessons feeling like a million bucks. This man was born to teach and the world is a better place for having him in it. Highly recommend!

We feel blessed to have found Professor Vanderson. Both of our children have exceptional needs and he is so understanding and respectful with them. He’s an excellent teacher and human being. Great staff and students. Outstanding!

We had our other son several year ago at another jiu jitsu place. He decided it wasn’t for him. So when our youngest wanted to get into this we decided to find another place for several reasons. We could not be more thrilled with choosing Vanderson Gomes. What really stuck out is he let our son use the old GI from another place. If I would asked anywhere else they would have said no you have to buy our name and brand. So this alone speaks highly of someone as a individual. Both Vanderson and Clark are amazing with the kids and it shows. They have fun and I can tell a Huge difference being here than from one that is highly commercialized. I would not second guess coming here. I know my child is cared and loved for.
