I love this gym. I love that it's small, and that it's locally owned & operated, and I love that the training options and memberships are affordable. The training is also incredibly helpful, and if you walk into a room full of weights and don't know where to start, I cannot recommend them enough. I used to feel so intimidated walking into any weight room, but now that I know what I'm doing, what everything is, it feels like second nature! 10/10 will lift here again (and again, and again, etc...)

I’ve dealt with moderate to severe back pain for 15 years. It was constant. Some days it was less and some days it was more, but it was always there due to a bad couple of discs. For years I tried weekly chiropractic visits, frequent massages, every kind of physical therapy/pain management “solution” including cortisone shots, daily PT exercises, stretching, rolling, scraping, dry needling, even back surgery to remove the bulged part of the disc. They all helped a little and felt good in some way but all temporary. I found myself back in bed for a week or two every time I’d push too much playing golf or snowboarding and I love to be active so it was a downward spiral of depression and hopelessness.About a year ago I randomly found Jake at BBT and committed to start a routine with his guidance. I knew strengthening would help but was very nervous and anxious about it because I figured I was just going to get hurt again, but I hadn’t had a trainer/coach before so I was hopeful. Jake walked me through a few exercises on day one. Immediately after doing the first deadlift my back screamed at me and I thought that was the end of that. Long story short, with Jake’s guidance and experience, I’ve been able to bring my pain from a 4-5 out of 10 to a 1 or 2. And I’ve stuck with a consistent workout routine since then. It’s been by far the most effective therapy I’ve ever experienced. Whether you’re looking for a good coach to help you get started with a few exercises or you’re a seasoned expert in the world of heavy lifting, I can’t recommend BBT enough….go see Jake! He’s extremely affordable, always reliable and loves helping people achieve their goals no matter what level you’re currently at.

I have been training with Jake for the past couple of months. I am a working professional in my mid 30s with 3 kids. I have loved training with him. He is super knowledgeable and practical in his approach. He listens to your goals and helps you achieve them.I have done several workout programs, but I haven’t really done anything that included heavy weights. I wasn’t sure what to expect starting out, but I have really enjoyed pushing myself to lift heavier while having the confidence that I’m doing it correctly. Plus, Jake makes you feel confidant and comfortable no matter your fitness level.

I started training at Barbell Therepy about 5 months ago and love it! Jake is an incredible coach. Facility is awesome. I had never weight lifted before and was nervous, but Jake is the greatest trainer. He is so knowledgeable and you learn so much. The vibe is awesome and it’s a growing community I’d recommend to anyone.

I started at Barbell Therepy a few months postpartum and have loved it! I had never weight lifted before and was super intimidated by it, but Jake has made learning so easy! It’s been fun to do things I never thought I could. It also has been the perfect workout to slowly build muscle back after having a baby. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

This is one of the best locally-owned gyms around. I almost don’t want to review it because I like that it’s still new and not as well-known. But the owner is a great guy and has worked hard to make it an inclusive, judgement-free environment, with plenty of equipment (little to no waiting), so I recommend anyone looking for a 24-hour access non-box gym stop in to give it a try. Follow on IG for great content too! @barbelltherapyut
