I wish this could be a better review, given how much i enjoy working out here, but the experience I had with the staff and trainers today is beyond unacceptable and far outside the bounds of professionalism. I am in law school and I use the gym as a venture to releasing stress and increasing my dopamine levels. I have been a member for over a year and have not had a terrible run in worth reporting until tonight. A trainer, employed by crunch on colonial, prioritized her client over my workout and stated I was unable to use equipment because they had priority over other members after I already engaged in using the equipment. When i explained to her that I was not aware of such a requirement and regulation being apart of my membership contract, she went to receive a larger and more “intimidating” staff member from the front to inform me that she had higher priority with her client to use the machinery than me, and that it was apart of my contract when I signed up. Curious as to which amendment to the rules and regulations I was not put on notice of, he brought me to the front to ensure the trainer could take my area where I was working out at, just to be confused as to the policy he was so knowledgeable about seconds prior. After conversing with this staff member, I was guided to the proposed manager for the day who informed me there was nothing they could do in this situation and that I was over reacting. I get it, some clients pay “thousands of dollars” (as the supposed threatening staff member informed me) for their training with a PT staff employee, but I have just as much as of a right to work out here as anyone else receiving benefits from a program they are enrolled in. This was completely unfair, utterly embarrassing and absent any form of apology from any staff member regarding the situation. To be told I was violating my contract, to then be told it’s a “general company rule”, to ultimately be told that this rule does not exist is not only confusing but frustrating. I bring so many of my friends here from school so they can have a way out in a positive workout environment, but to be treated like this is unacceptable and unprofessional. I really hope this review reaches someone’s eyes that can help me with this situation, but I also hope this review serves as a notice to potential new comers of my situation. Obviously my encounter is not out-come determinative of the environment this crunch has built, but it sure does damage the reputation of its management team as this was not handled properly by even the manager. I don't think i over-reacted and I believe I deserve some form of apology from the management working today.

Really and truly a horrible gym experience. It is NEVER not crowded and the layout sucks - there isn’t a thoroughfare between the entrance and the locker room, you just have to walk through the gym floor area. The music makes it feel like you’re at a night club at all times, nothing but trap with the volume turned up to 11. Also, each light on the ceiling is as bright as a tiny sun so good luck doing any kind of bench exercise without blinding yourself. It’s a miserable experience and the only reason I go to it is because the Esporta across the street closes early on the weekends. Avoid at all costs unless you’re 22 years old and are looking to hit on girls who likely aren’t interested in you.

Best gym experience I've ever had in my entire life. I'd never been able to stay motivated enough to go to the gym consistently, before, but after signing up for person training here, it's changed. It's been two whole months of consistent work outs and it's all thanks to Lance, whom I definitely recommend. He definitely looks out for you making sure all your goals are targeted, so that you can achieve exactly what you're after. He also makes it an interesting experience because he knows a lot about different ways to work out the same muscles, so it's never boring and you always feel like you had a great work out. All in all, the whole thing is awesome!

Beware of this gym. Always super crowded & loud. If you want to cancel your membership, they force you to go in person, if not they continue to charge your credit card and you have to deal with your credit card company. We recently relocated, and it was a nightmare trying to deal with them. The worst experience we’ve ever had with a Gym.You will see a lot of complaint about the same situation but they don’t care, they just make reference to the original contract (who nobody pay attention), but the point is that this is a very unprofessional and bad business policies, because if you cancel, you will never do business with any Crunch Fitness in the nation because of this.

This is a nice gym but it is annoying that every time I just want to go workout there is always a group of people at the entrance and exit asking for donations to some cause. I don’t mind booths set up that are there if I want to approach them. But every gym member is being stopped on their way in and out of the gym being asked to donate. I simply just want to go work out without being bothered. I know many other members who dislike this same thing.

I have tried reaching out to Matt the manager but he refuses to address issues in the gym. This gym is a mess! Bags and plates everywhere, dirt and some rust on some machines. I was told by some of the staff there that they can't stand to work with him as he can be insubordinate and unprofessional at times. A few other members have also voiced complaints to Matt but he fails to take responsibility.

This is probably the worst location of crunch gyms that there is , and here’s why. Firstly they refuse to offer basic gym equipment like bar cushions (hip bruising can really suck) and mats (a concern for hygienic reasons) , they tell u to buy your own and that only people with trainers are allowed to use it “because no one ever put them back”, I then realized no one “put it back” because the staff is a but too laid back and do not follow the same check out routine every other crunch follows to ensure equipment is returned, and that’s the staffs mistake. Secondly Pictured below is a leg extension machine that has been out of order for over a month now and to this day 6/27 has a sign from the beginning Of the month saying it’ll be fixed a week and a half ago lol. This is one of 3 other leg machines that have been out of order for the same amount of time. Bathrooms do at least remain clean and the staff is friendly so that’s the only reason why this isn’t 0 stars.

I joined a few weeks ago and I'm really loving it! You have to pick the appropriate times to go throughout the day where it's not too crowded because it's very popular. Very clean and safe and the maintenance on the machines and equipment is done very well.

Beautiful gym, its an open space, each corner of the gym has a section for different needs, the dance room is in the front and opposite that room is where the hydro massage beds are, the mens and women's bathroom has its separate sauna and believe me they stay at a good constant hot temperature, too bad there is no display or thermometer reading, maybe i guess i missed it. But this is a decent size gym.
