I reached out to them about the hidden annual fees, didn't get a reply. Not only they skim you a bit extra by charging you "biweekly" but they think they are a premium credit card company.... so you have to give them more money at the end of the year. What's next, weekend fee? Late workout fee? Or how about this, take an extra day off from working out and you get a penalty fee for not coming in... actually that one would kinda be motivating.

I've been a member at City Fitness' East Market location for over a year and I'm really happy with my experience. It's never too crowded, management is responsive, staff are friendly. Overall, a really great experience.

I don’t understand why change the time.I need to work until 10:30.They used to open until 1:00am.As a high quality gym, that’s too early.I think there’s more people like a quiet gym at night.

The gym is okay. Clean equipment with tons of machines. If you’re a weightlifter or powerlifter they only have 2 Olympic racks so you might have to wait - sometimes regular people use those rack even when they can do their workout at any other regular rack. Only downside you cannot use chalk. Expected from a commercial gym.

I am a gym addict and this place has it all. Also, the front desk and manager are super helpful and ready to assist whenever you have an issue. Clean, reliable, and positive atmosphere. Yay City Fitness!

It's perfect in my experience, I've been going there 2-3 times a week for six weeks, and I think the facility (the facility itself, the equipment, and the cleanliness) the staff, the Thrive program, and the location are all much better than any of the other ten or so gyms I have belonged to over the years.

I been a member for almost 3 years? I use to breath and live here pre covid. Its got a smoothie bar and study areas as well! This was the newer city fitness gym in Philadelphia until recently their northerliberties location relocated. This East market one is my favorite because it's massive and has everything for a city gym. 2nd floor mezzidine woth all the cardio machines for a cardio junkie like me. Sauna, steam room, towels, dance studio, workout studios for people interested in taking classes or to hide away from a crowd to do their own thing. The staff are all very welcoming and so helpful. Definitely the best gym in philly so far. It is very pricy but it also means the people here are all very devoted and from the area. Love it here!

The gym itself it awesome but the charges and the stalking with the thrive training makes the experience annoying and exhausting. When i come to the gym and more specifically in the pandemic you i want to be left alone . I made it clear on the tour i didn’t want TRAINING !!! I think I made this clear so many times but they just want more money and don’t care about your comfort or own workout schedule . It threw me off and I decided to stop going . Tried to cancel but they will try to charge you for that as well, even If you aren’t terminating early . Again, the gym itself is great but the stalking for training is exhausting.

The East Market location is a clean and expansive gym, that adequately meets the needs of the surrounding community. Sitting on the north end of the gayborhood, it is appropriately welcoming to LGBTQ+ folks. There are diverse offerings, from the usual weights and machines to yoga, spinning, etc. They do try to push new members into the Thrive program, which is expensive and geared more toward folks who need help getting active. Aside from that, and occasionally having to wait for an open shower stall or particular machine, it’s a good place to work out 👍🏼

Worst service ever.We had to wait more than half an hour until a borrowed man shows us the gym and told us that a free trial is only possible as a citizen of Philadelphia. On the website there was no information about this fact. That's not how to treat customs who wanted to join the club in the future.Cityfitness = arrogant personal
