I’m a local business owner in the Portland area and I came here to be able to work out and use all the amenities with my lady. I was told that doing a membership with them both of us would be able to use all of the amenities without having to pay any extra fees. This did not happen so if you go to the gym or are looking to get into a gym. I would not recommend crunch fitness as your workout center. I’m sure that there will be a justification posted on this by this facility itself Or one of the admin’s but I just wanted to make a point if I’m paying for a service and I’m told certain things should happen and I would expect them to follow through as I do the same thing for all of my customers and my business. I hope this helps you choose a better option to where you’re not gonna have to worry about resolving an issue like I had to today

Recently started going back to the gym and this location is super convenient for me. The trainers and employees are all very friendly, they’re the type to fist-bump you mid lunge. They have a nice variety of stationary and cable machines in the weight room. Some of the cardio equipment is wonky and squeaky but with headphones you can’t hear a thing lol. I’ve just started meeting with the trainer Chelsea and she’s amazing!I feel comfortable coming here as the other members have such a diverse range of body shape and age.The addition of another water fountain would be tight.

I have been working out at Crunch on and off since 2012. Eventually I stopped seeing results and felt stuck. I signed up for personal training last September and have been loving the gym again ever since. The trainers are knowledgeable and are helping me see results again.

Crunch Division has friendly staff that make you feel welcome. There are plenty of cardio machines so you don’t have to wait for one to become available. The absolute best thing about this gym are the staff that lead the classes and the trainers. They are top-notch!

I compared crunch with other gyms in Portland and found that dollar for dollar to be the better fit for my needs. Being 65 I was apprehensive but after my first visit I knew I had made the right choice. The equipment is like brand new and the staff go out of their way to make sure you are on target and safe. The facility is modern and clean and the hydro massage is just what an old geezer like myself needs

The price is right and I appreciate that is is open at 5 AM during weekdays as it fits in my schedule well. The atmosphere is pretty laid back and there are plenty of machines to choose from. The locker rooms are always clean and all the staff I have interacted with are very friendly and there to help.

This crunch fitness has a great layout a great selection of equipment and a great staff. They have plenty of free weights, the hours are convenient, the locker rooms are large and clean, the machines are up-to-date and well-maintained. They keep the gym clean overall and it seems that most of the patrons are well-respecting gym members. My favorite part about this crunch location is the two deadlift platforms. They have bumper weights as well as hard rubber weights and a good set of decent barbells.

Whatever you do, DO NOT get a membership here! They make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel and keep charging you even after putting your membership on hold! My friend and I have a joint membership here (I’m her guest), and only got to use it maybe about a month or so before the pandemic. We also paid for $250 personal training sessions that we never got to use before the gyms all shut down. Everything was sweet and dandy until we wanted to put our membership on hold. After they reopened, we expressed our concerns about returning and wished to get a refund on our personal training sessions because we do not know when we’d feel comfortable returning. They declined, which I understand because under normal circumstances, refunds can only be done within 3 days. Instead, they made it so the sessions won’t expire until we decide to resume our membership. I still feel that the refund should have been honored since it is not our fault that this pandemic occurred. On top of that, we keep getting charged for our monthly membership even though we’ve put it on hold, and my friend has physically gone to this location multiple times to try to speak to the manager and resolve this, only to be told “just wait,” with no time frame of when we’d get our refund for the months they’ve charged us for after we decided to put the membership on hold. Terrible communication and customer service.

This gym is awesome. I love the attitude of all of the staff and trainers - everyone is friendly, funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. The gym is always clean, the equipment is always in great shape (thank you so much to the maintenance team here, the unsung heroes we all need in our lives), and the other gym members are courteous and mind their own business, but are friendly enough that when you need help, they're always willing to help. The classes that Crunch offers are so much fun. They are challenging, and if you eat right, you see results quickly!I couldn't have asked for anything better when I was starting out again after 3 years off from the gym. I had a baby and was not successful in losing the majority of my baby weight on my own, so I turned to the gym for help and was not disappointed. All of the trainers were so helpful and kind as I was getting back to working out, and so encouraging! Thanks to their guidance, I have gotten much closer to my pre-baby self, both emotionally and physically. It feels really good.I can't say enough good things about this team and the gym in general. I am grateful to have them in my life and will sing their praises to all who will listen.

I share some of the same sentiments as others who have posted their negative reviews. I canceled my account 6 months ago or so I thought. I happened to check my online banking and noticed a charge on my statement. I went in to Crunch Division the upcoming weekend (3 days after charge). I mentioned to the lady at the front desk that I wanted to see about getting a charge refunded on my account. She was very rude and snarky as she brushed me off and said that we don’t refund charges here, without even hearing the details of my situation. After I told her the details, that I had canceled my account months ago and still was charged she decided to provide some customer service and look up my account on the computer. She told me that my account was on a six month freeze so that’s why I was charged.....ok....I thought it was canceled but oh well. I’m not losing much sleep over $19.95...Her attitude while providing service to me was so off putting that I decided to write a complaint. When the manager responded she offered an apology and mentioned that the interaction was discussed with the employee..BUT..she also mentioned that the employee was “thrown off by a member demanding a refund” which drove me to share this experience. “Demanding” carries a negative undertone and that’s definitely not how the situation was broached. As a college educated, mild mannered, full-time working homeowner I felt completely disrespected by that. Maybe the staffer did feel some sort of way after I had to repeat why I was there as she stared at me in a condescending manner..maybe it was because I’m an African American male...idk...PS I was never offered a refund :)
