I'm so happy my friend recommended this studio. I have had a monthly membership for about 5 months and love how many different classes they offer and the range in times of day. The instructors are all really knowledgable and bring a lot of variety to each class. Also, a very friendly and welcoming environment!

Everyone at PYP is so nice and welcoming. I love attending the barre and matte classes. The instructions are so knowledgeable and always make sure you have a great time. The best part though is the community they have built and how inclusive it is. I’m not a “yogi” but they always make me feel comfortable and included. The workouts are great and the perfect amount of challenging. The perfect spot to sweat and smile!

Moved to Portland early February 2023 and had not been to an in person workout class since before the pandemic and was out of practice. I also did not know a lot of people in the area. I'm so glad I found PYP! The classes can be challenging if you push yourself or can be restorative if that's what you need. Such a nice balance! The teachers are clearly knowledgeable and approachable - as is the whole community at PYP. People are warm and friendly, and I did not find it to be an intimidating environment at all. I much prefer a studio like this that focuses on mindfulness, but also one where you can get a really good workout in. I also love that there are so many options. I joined for the Barre classes, but found that I really loved Matte, and have even explored yoga, which I had no previous experience with, but have found to be very centering. I would recommend the intro special, which is a really fair price for exposure to anything you'd like to try. The tiered pricing is also such a nice concept that allows all of it to be more accessible.

When I moved to Portland, I was a little adrift when it came to finding a good yoga practice. PYP has become my go-to place for yoga practice and more! I appreciate being able to learn from different teachers and expand my horizons with barre and other classes. I also very much appreciate their desire for and support of an inclusive and welcoming space. Love it!

I love PYP! All the instructors are so nice and helpful. It’s a great, relaxing atmosphere. I love the range of classes they offer, and all the times! That was a big part of why I picked this place. Their tiered pricing makes it accessible to most and they have so many options. Cannot say enough good things about PYP!

I’ve been taking yoga classes for over 20 years and have visited *many* yoga studios around the country. Portland Yoga Project is, hands down, the best. The owners enable an incredible alchemy of skill and playfulness, of rigor and acceptance. I learn from every teacher at the studio, feel engaged and encouraged to grow, and experience community and the chance to truly be myself each time I walk in the door. Am so lucky to have found my yoga home!

PYP is the first yoga studio where I have ever felt completely at home in the community, on my mat and in my body. The teaching staff offers creative and diverse perspectives and each class feels rooted in intention, love, and safety. The space is beautiful— don’t let the strip mall location deter you! It makes for super easy parking! I was never a yoga person until I became a PYP person. It is truly my happy place!

Very welcoming studio with friendly, skilled instructors. It's great having yoga and barre classes all under one roof. There are a wide variety of classes available throughout the day, making it easy to fit into a busy schedule. This is the most inclusive/unpretentious studio I've been to.
