The Portland Yoga Project

PYP is the first yoga studio where I have ever felt completely at home in the community, on my mat and in my body. The teaching staff offers creative and diverse perspectives and each class feels rooted in intention, love, and safety. The space is beautiful— don’t let the strip mall location deter you! It makes for super easy parking! I was never a yoga person until I became a PYP person. It is truly my happy place!

I love the Portland Yoga Project because the teachers are great, there are classes at all times of the day, prices are based on a sliding scale, the studio is spacious and clean and there is a marvelous sense of community among members. I can’t recommend this place enough. Plus, their $30 for 30 days introduction offer is an amazing deal that lets you try out all of their yoga and barre classes. See you there!!

Portland Yoga Project is my daily solace.I often start the day by walking to the studio from my home nearby. I really appreciate the sense of community that PYP has created. My fellow participants and the instructors create a safe, calming space for everyone. The studio is a wonderful, original expression of everyone involved, and makes me smile every time I walk in the door.

My daughter convinced me to give yoga a try and had heard that Portland Yoga Project was a nice place to go. So we went. I had been having some mobility issues and after one class I could feel a positive difference. I felt welcomed and all the instructors were very helpful in accommodating me with alternatives that allowed me to feel like I can actually do yoga! I never thought I could do it. I do as many classes as I can each week. I move and feel so much better even after a few months.

I've been a member at PYP for about 4 years. Their studio was one of the first yoga studios I had ever been to that made me as a yoga/Barre novice feel unequivocally welcome. Jess, Elizabeth, Lauren and their team of instructors are amazing. I've never had a bad experience here and as someone who has injuries and mobility issues, they always help me find a way to modify. I absolutely adore PYP and recommend them to anyone from yoga/Barre novice to guru.

The Portland Yoga Project has changed my relationship with yoga and mindfulness! Seasonal anxiety hit me hard this year and I needed an outlet. I started attending evening classes, I soon found myself scheduling double sessions of yoga just to soak up this self love. I appreciate the teachers and staff for continuously helping me be my best self.In addition to the above, the staff has gone out of their way EVERY TIME to make me feel like I belong in the studio, along with the yogis who attend classes. I am so thankful for this community!!

I can’t recommend Portland Yoga Project more! All of the teachers are knowledgeable and friendly, and you’re always greeted at the door with a smile. The classes are a perfect blend of physical work and spiritual practice. I’ve attended a retreat with the studio and had so much fun! PYP goer for life

I’ve been looking for a new home for my yoga practice and think I’ve found it! The class offerings are many and varied. I particularly love Yin and Restorative and Nidra for de-stressing and comforting self care. I’m new to the studio and am using the 30 day Intro pass to try out lots of classes for just $30. A great deal. The studio space is very nice. I’ve liked the teachers I’ve tried so far. I’m looking forward to exploring more classes and settling in as a regular student.

I love this studio! They offer a great mix of class styles/approaches and have created a lovely space that's supportive and respectful for students and teachers alike. Tons of workshops, community-oriented pricing options, good parking... highly recommend across the board.

Love this studio!! All of the teachers are wonderful, creating a space that is challenging AND encouraging for students at all levels. While my favorite classes are yoga classes, I’ve also really enjoyed the barre and matte classes. This place is fantastic
