Planet Fitness

Stuck traveling for work and they want to charge me $58 to cancel a membership, even though I am asking to be placed on a hold. Staff was your typical fake “friendly” and extremely un-accommodating. Also took my picture without permission. Highly recommend going with a local gym. They have a ton of hidden fees within their agreements.

The gym is nice, but I have one gripe. They have to sign this extensive rules list only after you make the one year contract commitment. I think they should let you go over it before signing up, in case there is something you don't like.

January 1st, 2022, I came in and was greeted by William. He was well dressed and pleasant. I saw that he was patient with the guy that had a mental disability. William immediately helped him out with his concerns which was really obvious and frustrating but William was very patient with him and didn't get upset (Me I would of lost my mind). I noticed they were short-staffed today, which I understand because it was January 1st! For me it was a great day for me to go catch Planet Fitness off guard. Guess what? This place was emasculate! Absolutely clean! I was expecting trash on the ground! Dirt and fingerprints! Or even mold somewhere, but this place looks fantastic. I am impressed that this place looks brand new. They take security very seriously at Planet Fitness, so when the second employee came to the desk, William was able to show me around. William was highly knowledgeable about the machines, how they work, which devices do what; hell, I can't remember what he said because it was all machine language to me, but man, he was good with the sales pitch halfway through I wanted to get a Black card membership. Finally, in the end, he let me use the massage chair, and it was terrific. How can you not wish to get a Black card from Planet Fitness? I heard in other posts they used to be 24hours in other locations, not sure if that is true or not? Well, I hope after the Virus epidemic is over, they will return to their 24-hour time slots because sometimes I can't sleep at night, and this is where I would like to be. This would be a productive place for me to spend my time working on my body and my health, and then that will help me to get a good night's sleep. Thank you Planet Fitness for being in Portsmouth. I hope you expand later on at this facility because when i did a drive around this building looks a lot bigger on the outside than it does in the inside. With that said I suggest adding an aerobics room for hot yoga, yoga and maybe an Olympic heated indoor swimming pool (with swimming lanes) Man that would be so awesome.

..Never on time... and why because it in Portsmouth?... all the other locations are open On time!.... really not understanding SMDH!. Why hire people that don't understand the importance of working out or being ro work on time for that matter.

Never too crowded and I am able to get my workout done without waiting on machines. Super cleans and friendly staff!

This is my first ever gym membership and l will say it is a really positive experience. Seeing my body change keeps me motivated !

Gym is great. The shopping center it is in looks a little rough, but the inside of the gym is top of the line. Not too crowded and very clean.

Very clean gym! I know I had a great work out!! Plus there was some NICE eye candy! Hey, a girl can look...lol
