I canceled my membership over the phone a year ago. I just got a letter that I’m $294 in debt with them. They didn’t bother saying anything sooner. They just let it stack until it got to this, I haven’t even been there for over a year. Thank Retro Fitness, y’all really love money. I’m 19 working at Turkey Hill with bills to pay. I’m livid

Great gym and the place is beautiful inside. It has a Spa feel to the design of the space, but it is still an all-around lifting gym vibe. Will definitely go again when I'm back in the area.

The staff are great. The gym is clean and safe. Lots of equipment whether you want to do cardio or strength train. I love my gym!

Retro Fitness is a wonderful gym for any and all types of people. Whether you're just going to do a little bit of exercise to attempt to stay in shape, or trying to become a body building lifter, Retro Fitness Kenhorts has cultivated a wonderful team and great atmosphere for everyone. I've been going since they've opened, and they have been helpful every step of the way no matter what my goal is. They have a variety of equipment, classes and trainers to help anyone achieve thier goals. You should absolutely give this gym a moment of your time. Whether you're an experienced lifter or just beginning your fitness routine.

The gym is doing great with adapting to all the new rules due to COVID-19. They are also really good at answering any questions or concerns you might have. Retro has a lot of options to try to help you reach your goal! Big plus is their smoothies are great!!!!

Unfortunately, I am giving Retro Fitness 2 stars. The facility is extremely clean and the restrooms and changing area were almost always spotless.But their customer service was not ok at all. I came into cancel my membership 2 weeks before my 30 day notice was due, but I was going to be out of state so wanted to make sure I had everything in order to cancel before leaving. It was a Saturday morning so management wasn’t there, but I was told just to come back when I got back from vacation and it shouldn’t be an issue. I got back from vacation and went back to make sure the cancellation had been done. I signed a paper, and I specifically said if I going to be charged for another month can someone call me. No one ever called, but yet I was charged anyway.Another month of paying for a gym I went above and beyond to make sure I cancelled on time was disappointing but what was really the issue was: On my cancellation form I had put the reason for my cancellation was there were MULTIPLE times I had dropped my children off for childcare and the sitter was on the phone or watching her iPad. I eventually became uncomfortable leaving my littlest kids in there. When the manager read my reason he replied:“no one has complained in 3.5 years about our childcare and I mean your only paying so much a month what can you expect?”...... Never I’m sorry this was your experience or even I will look into the issue. I was extremely disappointed. I felt like my reason wasn’t valid and definitely made to feel unimportant.He told me he would get back to me, and I’ve waited 5 business days with no response. I being a mother, have shared my story and made it clear this is no gym to join.

The manager is completely inconsiderate. He told my brother and I that we could both use the same membership since we live in the same house and I’m the only one who can drive. He watched me enter the gym multiple times using the membership, and decided to switch up what he said after a few days. He wanted my brother and I to get separate memberships even though my brother can’t drive. He is inconsiderate. All about money. Does not care for the people. I am switching back to LA fitness after my membership runs out soon. I had about 5-6 people ready to sign up to workout with me but we are going to LA. The people at LA are a lot more welcoming and considerate. This guy comes off as racist. Don’t even bother signing up. -Iggy Reynoso

Gym was decent but they continued to charge me for months after Membership Cancellation. I had to change my Bank Account to stop the charges. They still are trying to charge me after repeated Cancellation notices based on the premise that they won't print a final receipt because they are continuing fraudulent charges. Stay away from these extortionists unless you plan to join for life.

Ever since I started at retro I never had one complaint. Everyone including trainers, front desk staff, manager, and even the babysitting staff has shown true potential to their role. The most important thing is that it is diversed. There’s not a moment I feel uncomfortable with working out by myself. Unlike LA and planet fitness, people truly care and help you with anything you need. You receive motivation from just watching how hard everyone is working unlike LA where everyone is at the treadmill and call it a day or they just go into the basketball court and forget to get their workout in. Yikes. You always get greeted at the door which is also important and I’m always feeling welcomed. I truly thank the staff for their dedication and being their true self creating a wonderful environment.

Be ready to sign your life away when starting your year membership... I signed up with the intention of seeing how I liked it and knowing I could cancel within 30 days if I wasn’t satisfied. For personal reasons I decided to end the membership before the 30 days and the staff worker told me it was only a 10 day cancellation and that I could not cancel, either pay off my year subscription (hundreds of dollars) or tough it out. I continued to pay monthly and now I am moving 30 minutes away and I tried to cancel again since I will not be in the area and once again they declined my cancelation saying that my new address must be 25 miles or more away. With that being said, it is a nice gym with a variety of classes and a clean atmosphere but before you sign that start up contract, be 100% prepared to pay out that contract until your year is up.
