I was brought to Boxing Works through a chance encounter with a former fighter from the gym who wanted to help me develop my Muay Thai and have never looked back since. Wether its the top notch training from their pool of experienced instructors lead by Ajarn Bryan Popejoy, or the continuous support and friendship from fellow fighters and members, Boxing Works continues to stay one step ahead of the rest and continues to provide me the tools I need to improve my abilities as a fighter. The training is constantly evolving and progressive, members and fighters are always growing and developing. When you walk into the gym you truly get a sense that Boxing Works is a family and the family is growing. Boxing works embodies the definition of teamwork. Everyone brings somethings special to the table. If you want to learn Muay Thai, MMA or Boxing from top tier instructors and you want to learn in an environment where your goals and success are just as important to your instructors as they are to you and you want to do so while having the most enjoyable experience in the process...Nothing can beat Boxing Works.

Boxing Works Hermosa Beach is the best gym for real, authentic Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) in the West Side and the South Bay. The Muay Thai you get is not a watered down version of the martial art but a real, refined form of it. Ajarn Bryan Popejoy teaches both the physical and tactical parts of Muay Thai, so you'll definitely get a work out AND a practical way to use the techniques you learn. If you're looking to learn and train Thai Boxing in one of it's purest forms, then it's here at Boxing Works. Who better to learn from than a champion level fighter and instructor? At Boxing Works, you will improve your game, challenge yourself, be part of a community, AND get in shape. Boxing Works is the place to train!! For those of you in Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, or any of the other Beach Cities, come out to Boxing Works and begin your Muay Thai training!!

I have been a member of Boxing Works for about 2 and a half years now. From day of taking the "Kids Muay Thai class" I fell in love with not only the sport, bu also the environment of the gym, the people and the coaching. At this point I spent as much time at Boxing Works as I possibly can throughout my day (not just because I'm now a part of the fight team) because I enjoy being around the people who are present at the gym. Everyone is extremely helpful, humble and respectful. I've had the chance to move to gyms that are closer to my home than Boxing Works but I don't think I'd ever be able to leave this place. It's become my home and I place full with people I can call family.I've learned more about myself at Boxing Works than I have learned anywhere else and it's by far the best to place to go for Muay Thai training, boxing and MMA.

Wow, Boxing Works, where do I start? Boxing works has changed my life in so many ways. For one, during my weight loss journey I have lost a total of 73 pounds. I am currently training for my upcoming fight in the TBA-SA Muay Thai Classic 2012 with a record of 4-0 and will have to weigh in at 145. For me, that mean loosing 12 pounds in 12 days as an undefeated female muay thai fighter! I will have lost 85 pounds!! I have been training at Boxing Works for over 2 years and have learned so much! They offer Muay Thai, Boxing, and Fitness Kickboxing classes, complete with a heavy bags, a boxing ring and full set of weights in the back outdoor half of the gym and are completely female friendly. For me all the great instructors, the fighters on the fight team, and all the members in the place really make the gym a second home. I feel like people go out of their way to help others really improve and focus on their technique. Our head instructor, Bryan Popejoy is offering right now a 30 day FREE trial for you to try the gym out and see if you like it!! Yes that's right, you can follow in my and other fighter's and member's footsteps and set small goals for yourself and accomplish as much as you put in! Come on in to Hermosa Beach Boxing Works for your FREE tour of the gym and FREE first private lesson.

I love training Muay Thai at Boxing Works in Hermosa Beach! Ajarn Bryan Popejoy is a very kind, humble instructor. But don't let that fool you, he is a Muay Thai champion whose vast knowledge makes him an excellent teacher. Their facilities are top notch as well. I love sparring in that ring!

Had the honor of training at Boxing Works under the guidance of Ajarn Bryan Popejoy and Khun Kru Genelle Gaudinez. Awesome facility with great equipment. It's just a short run from the Hermosa Valley Greenbelt, which is a 3.5 mile wood chip trail. We'd do an early morning run before training. Respect is of the utmost importance here (as with any martial art). The instructors give you a challenging workout and you learn so much. Even had the chance to meet Buakaw, Julie Kitchen and Simon Marcus when they visited the gym last year. It's the best place to train for Muay Thai in the South Bay!

Truly a top quality muay thai gym in the South Bay area. Arajn Bryan Popejoy has created an environment in Hermosa Beach, where members are able to enjoy not only a solid physical workout, but learn techniques and art of muay thai. It doesn't get more authentic then Boxing Works, which is also equipped with new heavy bags, matted floors, and a out door boxing ring. If you are looking for a place to refine your skills or to start out, this is the place to be.

Boxing Works in Hermosa Beach is an amazing place to train! The facility itself is fully equipped with anything you might need, and the recent acquisition of permanent mats for the heavy bag area is heaven for your bare feet. All of the passionate instructors are top-notch and train people of all skill levels. I sat in on a beginner class once and Ajarn Bryan Popejoy managed to be very meticulous while still maintaining a perfect pace of instruction. So stop by and give Boxing Works a try! Just remember to pay your respects and wai :)
