Highland Family YMCA offers a family-oriented fitness environment with a wide range of activities. This facility is great for beginners and families, featuring supportive staff and varied programs for children. Patrons appreciate the cleanliness and the variety of workout machines available. However, some users have expressed disappointment with inconsistent pool hours and subpar customer service experiences.

Despite cleanliness and friendly staff, there have been isolated complaints about maintenance and customer service. Membership offers good value, especially for families, but the facility may not meet all expectations in terms of amenities and service consistency.

  • Variety of workout machines.

Came for the Zumba class at 6:30 pm on Wednesday and it turned out that the instructor was there and she cancelled the class. She said she told her boss but it seems the boss didn't inform anyone else nor did they get someone to cover the class. There was nowhere on the YMCA app nor the receptionist mention it knew about the cancellation. It would be thoughtful of YMCA to announce on the app when a class is cancelled so that we don't waste gas or plan our day around an exercise class. Wasted gas and time.

Amazing place for basketball. My son has grown so much in the last year. Supportive community of ballers and coaches and great pick up games

What good is it to pay so little for a monthly membership if I can’t use all the amenities as I’m available… open swim varies everyday from one hour to 4 hours a day. How is it convenient to plan around just one hour a day with everything els (great way for me to not use the pool at all) … it’s my second attempt going in to use my new gym card today and I’m upset that the pool is already closed for open swim and Sundays Pool is closed and weekends they barely open the gym.To add to insult I was finally in trying to take advantage of the trip and was told to leave because I was prepared for the pool with slides and I cannot use the walking machine in slides. I hate them so far.

Always have a good experience. Great place for beginners to start working out and they have a great variety of sports and activities for the little ones. Love it

I used to have a membership many years ago 2012-2014. I liked it back then. I fill like I didn't even use all the membership resources available. I had a great time and barely scratched the surface of what they had to offer. I like the YMCA better than a gym because it is more family oriented and the kids club is in your monthly membership. They even offer financial assistance is you are eligible from 10%-50% off monthly fee. I just went today to get a new membership application as before it was just me and my two kids. Now I am married with 4 kids and I am excited to give the YMCA a 5 stars after I become a member again and get to see how it has update after covid.

Kudos to Tevin. Who helps keep the place clean. One day he had to remove a toilet with some mess inside. Thank you again. Always seen working with a good attitude.

Friendly staff and great value without the contract hassles at for-profit gyms. Plus they have a pool! Never very busy, you won't have to wait for machines. Doesn't have racquetball court like Redlands. Lots of program for kids, but aside from classes, there's no way to network for activity partners.
