Not a safe place for kids, 👎🏽almost lost my baby this past summer. They care more about selling birthday package instead of the safety of children. They need more staff in the pool for supervising or have parents get in the pool. …

The management at the ACAC in Midlothian is smug and needs training. The facility is old and not kept up. The outdoor "water park" was nice years ago when it wasn't overcrowded and you could find a chair. The Short Pump location is better.

I've been going to ACAC Midlothian regularly for about 4-1/2 years now, mostly using the weight machines. Every single one of the employees I've met there has been super friendly, and always very helpful. The facilities and equipment are clean, well-maintained and meet my needs. Joyce, the general manager there, actively seeks feedback from users, and promptly responds personally to comments and questions. I highly recommend ACAC Midlothain.

I have been working on my wellness here for 2.5 years and it's the best fitness facility in which I have ever held a membership. Huge shout out to Joyce the GM who occasionally sends me a personal note to check on how things are going. The personal trainers really know their stuff and have tremendous leadership (Mark R.). This organization is very involved in the community and highly philanthropic, including raising funds for children's cancer research, diabetes association and more. They have a well-rounded assortment of group fitness classes included in membership fees. Indoor family pool, therapy pool, hot tub and lap pool are excellent and also included in membership. Outdoor water park is a great way to cool off and have fun in the summer (for tiered membership). My kids love going to KidsZone, a fun and energetic place to leave kids while the adults enjoy the amenities. Try a custom smoothie or other healthy treat at the cafe! [Full disclosure: my wife works at this facility.]

They're great - super clean facilities, tons of classes, friendly childcare. Expensive compared to other gyms in the area, but well worth it in my opinion.

An organization is only as good as how it treats all of its members. Including the breastfeeding ones. ACAC Midlothian has acted illegally. This is the experience of one member Jordi Willams:"Yesterday I breastfed my sobbing toddler and screaming baby in the drop off/pick up area of ACAC Midlothian's KidZone. About an hour later I recieved a call from the supervisor of KidZone informing me that all mothers are to use a cover or go into a hidden room to nurse. When I informed her that she could not legally require me to cover up or leave, expressed my concerns about how upset my children were when I arrived, explained how devastating such a call might be to a less experienced breastfeeding mother, and asked to speak to her supervisor I was given the run around. Through several phone calls during the course of the day I was repeatedly lied to in a clear attempt to avoid involving said supervisor (the general manager of ACAC Midlothian) in the dispute. When I finally reached the general manager I did not recieve an apology but was instead shamed for breastfeeding in public. This is not okay. For any new mother or any mother struggling with postpartum anxiety as I am, getting out of the house is a major accomplishment by itself. Obstacles to breastfeeding can be devastating. Expecting a hungry, crying child to nurse under a cover or wait until a hidden location can be found is not only unreasonable but borderline offensive. The staff at ACAC have made it clear that my baby's need to eat is less important than their perception of breasts as sexual objects.According to VA law 32.1-370 I have the right to breastfeed wherever I am legally allowed to be. Please share and let ACAC Midlothian know that their actions are not acceptable. They are not within compliance of the law, are not family friendly, and need to change their policies before another mother is harassed for feeding her children."

ACAC has an unbelievable workout facility. Their Personal Trainers are top notch, and classes are abundant and range from low impact, to high level challenging classes. The Tennis Facility is one of the best in the area. The outdoor and indoor pool facilities are large and newly updated.ACAC feels like family to me. Come see for yourself!

Hands down, best all-round club in the state; I am a 10+ years a member . In my 25 years living in Va I have belonged to 4 different clubs including the "Y" (having moved within the area a couple of times) ACAC has it all: the professional staff, aquatics, tennis, comprehensive fitness equipment, an exercise class for any - body, accessible to all. the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming - always! I frequent the club 4-5x weekly and never once have I seen an 'off' day. The club clearly cares about the ALL members by continuing to seek feedback. The staff maintains a real connection with the members, a hallmark of success for any operation.

been a member for 2 weeks and the facilities are very nice. The gym lacks some equipment but makes up for it with less common equipment(swedish ladder, kettle bells, rings, heavy bags, sled and much more) and amazing pool/hot tub amenities. A young rude staff member interrupted me mid repetition with over 300lbs on me to remind me to unload the plates when im done, besides the danger and annoyance of his pestering while I was handling heavy weight , I took that as him calling me an a-hole and and a terrible person, as only such people dont put weights up. update: dozens of little kids running around unsupervised all the time, I nearly killed one with a kettle bell. personal trainers get priority over normal members and half the equipment or often entire sections of the gym are being used by them and not accessible to everyone else.

A really great facility. This is where I come to workout when I am visiting Virginia. They have great deals for guests (including free Fridays on the first friday of the month!)I also had the chance to try some of their classes. I really enjoyed cycling and would highly recommend it.All in all, a great gym with lots of wonderful renovations that really make it a great place to workout.
