I began at HYB with the Spark Membership which is a great price for a month’s worth of unlimited classes. I love all of the classes provided, my personal favorite being the Hot Power Yoga flow. There’s a few different kinds of yoga classes offered, some more powerful and some more restorative, correlating to everyone’s needs/desires. The instructors are amazing. They are extremely knowledgeable and assist in any ways they can. Through these classes, I’ve really expanded my yoga practice and learned how to actively control my breathing. The amazing staff and community encouraged me to join Karma Krew. Best yoga studio in Richmond, especially for those who work early in the morning and like to get a workout in before starting the day as HYB has classes starting at 5:30 am.

The Hot Yoga Barre has been such a great experience from Day 1! Every class is well constructed with very clean facilities. I have loved going to barre, burn, and yoga classes- it has truly made me connect with others and myself in such an incredible way!

I cannot say enough good things about the Hot Yoga Barre. It has changed my life! I started coming in April 2022 and come to the studio almost everyday. It's truly helped me connect my mind, body, and soul. I've learned how to control my breathe, challenged my body to limits I thought I couldn't get to, created amazing friendships within the yoga community and found a forever home in the yoga community.

These classes have changed my life. I have never been able to keep a regular workout routine until starting at The Hot Yoga Barre in February. It’s helped me find more motivation in other areas of my life too!Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the teachers who lead us in each workout so beautifully. It’s an excellent balance of pushing you to do your best and also meeting you where you are at and encouraging you to listen to your body and limits.

Took power yoga with Theresa. She is an awesome instructor, very friendly and knowledgeable. She gave easy to follow cues and lots of encouragement to keep going even when you don't want to. Will definitely take her class again.

I absolutely love being a member at The Hot Yoga Barre! The classes are challenging and dynamic, and the instructors are knowledgeable and motivating. I’m new to yoga and barre so I appreciate when the instructors offer hands-on assistance.

I’ve been an HYB member for 2 months now and it’s become a highlight of my week multiple times a week. The classes work with my schedule, the instructors are friendly and clearly love what they do, and I love that you can consent (or not consent) to be assisted. There are fees if you don’t cancel a reservation in time, but those policies are clearly stated and the 3 hour window usually works for me. Yoga isn’t cheap, but I think you can easily get your money’s worth here. I love feeling myself get stronger. Not only do I see results, but I feel them when I’m in class. That makes it very worth it for me.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this studio. Listed out the pros/cons below.PRO:1. The instructors - I have been to both Willow Lawn and Midlothian, and the coaches are consistently solid. We just moved here from DC, where I have been a SoulCycle/Barry’s/OTF fan for years and I would put these instructors and their workouts up against any of them.2. The studios - always feel clean/fresh and the equipment is updated and easily accessible.3. Class variety - they offer everything from power yoga to cardio barre and have special themed workouts sometimes. Love being able to mix it up and have never been disappointed.4. The staff - I know staffing is a struggle for everyone right now and they are consistently helpful and friendly. The owner is around often and she jumps in to help and makes herself available to chat with members - she seems lovely.CON:1. The other members are kind of rude - I think it might be helpful to book an actual spot in class so that folks aren’t always rushing to get “their spot”.2. Post class cleanup - it’s always a bit chaotic because there are spray bottles and cloths stationed around the studio, everyone goes for them at the same time, and the wood floor is sweaty/wet from class. Might be nice to have the instructor hand out wipes during stretch to help minimize the chaos.3. I’ve been to several hot yoga studios where they hand out lavender cold towels after class and it’s a very nice touch - I’m sure the reason this doesn’t happen here is also staffing related, but just an observation.Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough. I struggle with a knee injury and was super sad that I had to give up HIIT and heavy weights, but this place has made that transition feel like a blessing. It really is great for everyone at all fitness levels!
