I want to say that the girl Sidney is a great worker she helped me with signing up and becoming a member. She was very helpful and showed me what plan to get that would be great for me. We need more people like her in this world. Thank again Sidney.

I have had the best experience at planet fitness ever since I became a member. I knew I was in the right place when Abigal Herron was helped me become a member. She was kind, patient, and very helpful when explaining how to sign up. I would recommend planet fitness to anyone in the area. The staff is amazing and so is the facility!

Love this place. No complaints. Never too crowded. Machines always clean and in good order. I always feel welcome by the staff.All staff very friendly and courteous.I have observed staff members with new clients. They take the time to patiently explain proper operation of the machines and answer any other questions.

When I came home from work, my girlfriend told me that I have to get a planet fitness membership. She wouldn't stop talking about it. She raved about it for a good 30 minutes. I guess if it's good enough for her its good enough for me. Shoutout to Abigail. Planet Fitness just got two new guests thanks to her.

Sidney is by far the most professional and supportive employee to have greeted me. She made my experience the best to date. She has definitely improved the overall reputation of this location. Have more employees like her and you will succeed.

I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s always very clean and well maintained. I normally just walk in, scan my app, and get to it. However, recently I was greeted by Sidney and her kindness and energy when checking me in made the experience so much better. She is definitely a model employee, she was very kind and helpful towards me and I noticed her walking around maintaining the equipment throughout my workout!

I came in today to inquire about a membership for my return to gymhood post-quarantine. I was very nervous about mask protocol and cleanliness, but the Assistant Manager Dez went above and beyond at putting my fears at ease. She was kind, professional, and extremely thorough, walking me through every facet of this Planet Fitness location. It seems as though they're taking the pandemic extremely seriously, too, which is comforting to know!I generally have apprehensions about corporate locations, but the initial welcoming and reassurance from Dez has me set on making this my new gym for my time in Roanoke!

TERRIBLE!!! Have been a member since 2012. Notified in the summer of 2020 that I had a missed payment from November 2019. Asked why since none of my credit card or bank accounts had changed and some payments were still going through. None of the call centers or managers could tell me why.I said I'm not paying any fees since you can't tell what happened. Manager said they could only cancel some of the fee but not all. Told me if left unpaid, bill would be sent to collections.Called one day, spoke to an associate, and he canceled all the fees and my payment went through with the card they had on file for me. How did this happen all of the sudden?The next day they canceled my membership.Regional supervisor emails me stating they indeed did made a mistake but offers no help in fixing the issue. Reasoning for canceling was there "is multiple reasons Planet Fitness can cancel a membership".Told I would have to sign back up at the higher monthly rate.This entire situation lasted months with hours on the phone and dozens of emails. Many times because no one would ever call back or reply.INCREDIBLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE for a 10 year customer.Signing up with another gym.

This place is exactly what I would've asked it to be: a reliable, clean gym with friendly staff. They do a great job of cleaning the machinery as well as keeping everything in great shape. The people that go here are nice as well. I have been going here for 2.5 years and I haven't had a bad interaction. I personally appreciate that it doesn't feel like I am at a cross fit regional championship or body building PR/max marathon (nothing against that if your into it, to each there own)

I have been going to different gyms most of my adult life. I never got harassed so often by people working at the gym for absolutely minute stuff - using my phone, "slamming" weights, covid mask (the covid mask policy is a joke - wear it while checking in, then do whatever. A little difficult to take seriously). The point is that I go there because it is convenient for where I live, but othereise I detest the staff working there. I understand the business model is all about catering to the average Joe sort of deal, but it doesn't mean it should be viewed as freedom to harass those who actually try to workout and not here only for Monday afternoon pizza.
