Fantastic workout. Travis and Justin were incredible and had fantastic tips on conventional deadlift form. The overall workout left me challenged with baby giraffe legs.

I have been going to this gym for two years. I had never done CF before, so needless to say I was intimidated at the thought of trying to do it. I had been working out on my own for years but I wanted to try something new. I had looked at several CF gyms and tried them out but was unsure if I liked them since I had no reference of what a CF gym was supposed to be like. However, when I walked into Aquila I was treated professionally and all of my concerns were addressed about trying something new and being unsure of my ability. I also liked the gym space and the people welcomed me right away. It felt comfortable and I did not feel like I shouldn’t be there even though it was all brand new. Throughout my time there I gained so much knowledge about lifting correctly, gained strength in ways I did not know I could, and I developed a real sense of community with the coaches and other members.Sadly to say I moved to Los Angeles and had to find a new box. I have been to many gyms here in LA and I got to tell you that even though I am now in the land of beautiful, fit people, the CF gyms I have been to do not compare to Aquila. The programming at Aquila is spot on, the knowledge of the coaches and attention to everyone’s form is unparalleled. Plus the community of people are amazing.I miss my gym but I will be back. Please if you want to “try” CF or are looking for something new, check them out. You’ll be glad you did! Thanks for taking time to read this.

Aquila reviewThere are so many great things about Aquila Fitness I don’t know where to start. This place creates a community that makes you want to come in and work hard. I can honestly say I know almost everyone’s name when I go to work out and we all support and challenge each other. If you have had trouble commiting to a fitness routine come try Aquila Fitness. You build friendships that make it fun and rewarding to get to class each day.A major factor that makes Aquila Fitness so awesome is the amazing group of coaches (2 of which are the owners) and the group of members they have cultivated over there ten years. When the owners are there everyday coaching you know the quality and consistency is there. The membership is so diverse as far as age, ability, fitness level and goals. And the coaches are so creative and knowledable they are able to scale exercises for everyone. I “crutched” in a few days after ankle surgery, unable to bear weight and they were able to create a challenging workout with varied exercisesd until I was able to walk again. The coaches many years of experience and education come through in their ability to teach the necessary skills to challenge members and minimize injury. And I’ve been able to greatly improve multiple nagging injuries through specific exercises the coaches develop.I’ve been an athlete all my life, been a gym goer since middle school and so many different types of exercise routines fads. But I have not experienced gains like I have at Aquila. In 2012 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)At the low point I couldn’t open our screen door due to the lack of strength in my fingers, and I lost a portion of the range of motion in my right elbow to the point where I had to do most tasks with my left hand (like brush my teeth, eat, etc). My doctor did not think I would be able to regain full range of motion in my elbow. I saw her last week (Dec 2018) and she was astounded by my complete range of motion in my elbow and how good my joints were doing in general. Working out at Aquila several times a week has greatly helped. Some days, it still hurts to move, but in the end the results are worth it. (Just to clarify, this is an important point, exercise will not stop the progression of the disease, and the sporadic flare-ups still come. But it has greatly affected my day-to-day functioning and quality of life living with a chronic condition.)
