Let me preface by saying I’ve been a loyal Black Card member for years and despite the massive inconvenience I’ve been dealing with, I was still a loyal member looking forward to using the gym again. After calling and asking for help, my mind changed. Rhiannon, a manager at this location, is solely responsible for PF losing my business. Months ago I changed banks and updated my card info online. For some reason, the update was unsuccessful and PF continued to charge my old card, which was canceled. I received ZERO communication about my payment declining, and because I was in the middle of moving and getting married, I did not notice the charges weren’t coming out of my new bank account. After three months, when I finally had time to start my gym routine again, I found out Planet Fitness canceled my membership for non-payment and charged multiple late fees in addition to my regular monthly bill. This is understandable, but if I had been given any kind of notice that my card declined to begin with, I’d have resolved it then and there. I called this club because apparently you can only be helped with account issues by the one you started at. Rhiannon answered the call and informed that PF doesn’t notify of missed payment over email (even though they use email for EVERYTHING ELSE) and that they had texted and called twice to let me know. When I explained that I truly never got anything or I would have fixed the issue, her response was basically “not my problem”. This process of paying my bill has been an absolute nightmare. I’ve been told that the only way I can even pay the bill now is to PHYSICALLY pay IN the San Angelo club, or send a money order through the mail. No online or over the phone option despite the fact that I now live 4 hours away. Mrs Manager absolutely made my mind up for me about whether it’s worth it to stay with PF after all. No communication for loyal customers who WANT to pay and have ALWAYS paid on time? No effort in keeping a long-time customer who has been massively inconvenienced by your system? Big difference between being a manager and being a brat with a badge.

This place is clean and staff is friendly! My ONLY complaint is the last couple visit, my husband tried to get to the weight equipment and there’s small groups either improperly using or just congregating around the equipment. I really wish the staff could break it up if it isn’t going to be used properly or at all. Aside from that, it is a great gym especially for cardio!

Not a local, a frequent flyer. Have not been to this location since 2019, mostly stay around Houston and LA areas but often visit the PF if there is one around. This morning I was blown away walking back into Angelo’s PF with the cleanliness, updated equipment, safe environment, and friendliness of the staff at this location. The luxury at this location is above and beyond many of the franchise, and the care of the facility is evident. My dude @ the front was so helpful and polite. Really looking forward to working out here again and my trips in the future!

Very clean, equipment in good condition, and staff were helpful and friendly. Locker room is well-maintained and cleaning stations throughout facility. I'm a black card member so I used the hydro-massage table, absolutely wonderful!

Every single thing about the complex. I've never had a gym that I call home, I'm addicted big time! The whole staff is awesome, and does they're part to make it a safe and efficient facility. I'm able to get my workout complete with no problems. I truly recommend my planet!Post My Review on

I love this gym. Everyone is always super friendly when I walk in and I always see them doing their part to keep everything safe and sanitized. The only thing I wish is that it didn't have to "temporarily close" so often due to maintenance issues. I understand we recently had a horrible storm but it doesn't make sense to me how many other gyms in town are open (including the ones down the street) and Planet Fitness isn't. Very rarely are customers updated on the status of the gym reopening. While I don't plan on cancelling membership because of these reasons, it would be nice to remain updated on a consistent basis.

I’ve been a Member here for 2 years according to my automatic draft. Today was my 1st time back in 8 months and I asked for a simple exception for my spouse who was not feeling good enough to workout and was denied the services that Ive paid for religously without batting a single complaint. When asked to speak with a Manager, I was told I am the Manager. No compassion, no empathy, Nothing was shown. I cannot wait til CRUNCH FITNESS opens on sherwoodway. I will not continue business here and will refer any & everyone there. All I am is a membership fee and one if the good ones that never comes and uses there equipment.

All Planet Fitness clubs vary in size and shape, but this one is pretty nice overall. Enjoy!

The gm who works here is disrespectfulShe made it her effort to be rude and condescending while speaking with her other employees at other gym and the reason why I’ll be signing up for a way better gym !! Wow somebody send some help over there

I open and account and later they close the door due to some issue inside the building but they still charging me monthly fee but I can’t even use the gym not fair for the customer that wanna work out and still paying for the monthly payment sad is that they didn’t even let us know that this was gonna happen should of send and email to us to let us know but still that very messed up to still charge for the week we haven’t even been able to use the service
