*** READ BEFORE YOU JOIN ***FC Flex TRUE Cost Breakdown (assumes 12 month membership & pay w credit card)True Cost = $20.24 / month$ 17.48 - FEE Initial Enrollment$ 10.00 - FEE Plastic key card$ 53.04 - FEE Hidden annual$120.00 - Advertised Dues (12mo @ $10/mo)$ 42.36 - FEE Pay with credit card (12mo @ $3.53/mo)$242.88 - TRUE Total 12 mo cost = $242.88 / 12 = $20.24 / moI signed up and cancelled < 2 mos, below is what I actually paid.05/17 - Initial Enrollment fee of $17.48.05/17 - Plastic key card fee of $1006/01 - First month fee of $13.53.06/15 - Hidden annual fee of $53.0407/02 - Plan termination fee $49.95Total for < 2 mos = $144.Enrollment fee for FC flex (what I lthought I signed up for in store) is $59.95. So under that scenario it still would have cost about the same ($140.52).I hope this prevents many of you from making the same mistake I did of thinking the advertised monthly rate of $10/mo was the true cost you pay when it is actually double that @ $20.24 / mo.Always read the fine print, the feeling of getting taken isn't a pleasant one... Caveat emptor - Buyer beware.Staff was professional and friendly, but they lack the power and authority to do anything about costs, fees, etc., you will be directed to call customer support, but the store manager assured me there was nothing they would do either.

They close very early (10pm), employees don’t respect privacy, and whenever they delete my review, I will repost it. The bathroom door lock doesn’t work, sometimes there’s no toilet paper, and one day when I was there, an employee named Antony said, ‘Can I take a picture of you for the system?’ I told him, ‘Not now, it’s not a good time. I don’t look/feel well, I just woke up. How about another time?’ He replied, ‘Sure, no problem.’ But then he proceeded to take the photo without my authorization. That invades my privacy. I didn’t say no, I just said it wasn’t a good time. Is it difficult to respect that? The following week, I ran into him and confronted him, asking why he did that. His response was, ‘It’s my job.’ I understand that, but don’t you know what ‘no’ means? I had to tell him that the next time he does the same thing, I will have to handle things myself, the proper way. So, they don’t respect privacy, which is a shame because they have a good team, and other employees are very friendly. Keep improving and train your staff

Gym is great, super clean, affordable, great atmosphere. Only critique I have is I wish they were open just a little later, especially on weekends.

Ended signing up with Crunch Fitness same day right after my fitness connect walk through. The associate who was originally helping me on the walk-through was fine an the Fitness Connect facility is nice, but at what cost. (Not talking money) The balding white slim manager was very rude and completely turned me off from this gym. Looking forward to the 24/7 access at Crunch fitness

Make sure you read all the fine print in the application forms before signing up for this gym. When I spoke to a gentleman behind the counter when signing up he told me if I moved I wouldn’t have to pay a fee. They don’t know the rules very well or are ok with lying to your face. I moved an hour north and had to pay the $49 buy out fee.

This Fitness Connection is located near the intersection of Blanco and West Avenue. It opened approximately 1 to 2 months ago in a shopping strip shared by businesses like Pizza Hut, Family Dollar, and Austin Vaccum. It occupies a space that once was an Albertsons several years ago, and this large gym utilizes all of the square footage!I worked out at another fine gym three miles away for the last two years, but Fitness Connection is five minutes from my home. There is plenty of parking, and I counted eleven handicap parking spaces available specifically to Fitness Connection. Once inside, there are plenty of friendly staff to answer questions or even show you the ropes. I could immediately tell that they are competing with three popular gyms in San Antonio; I will not mention them because I'm unfamiliar with some of the basics with a couple of them. Fitness Connection offers three levels of membership fees starting with $10 a month plus a $1 registration fee. They also have a Premium membership and a Premium w/ Amenities membership. I selected the Premium deal because I'll be able to participate in a cross-fit type class. And speaking of the ropes, a rather long space is devoted to members who like cross-fit exercises, including floor ropes you see former Dallas Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith using in a commercial. The cross-fit space even has two weight machines shaped like half-tires to simulate the huge tractor tires used outdoors for cross-fit.At one end of the massive gym are tons of weights, weights and more weights. There is no excuse not to use them. In the core of the floor space are about a hundred treadmills and stairsteppers. The gym also has three huge ceiling fans that keep the air cool and breathable. The perimeter of the gym includes men's and women's locker rooms, a training space for groups, and even a space, with a large window, for kids to play basketball.I have a hunch Fitness Connection keeps their costs down by operating from 5:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. instead of 24 hours a day. Also, a second Fitness Connection is located on Southwest Military in southwest San Antonio.Better each visit. Opened in July 4th.

One of the best commercial gyms I've had the pleasure of signing up for. I wish they were 24/7, but other than that -- no complaints at all. Staff are friendly and welcoming, the equipment is great, and there are plenty of squat racks to go around.

Great new club with the latest in equipment and good people with super dynamic attitude. 4 stars because sauna is not hot enough and the showers lack pressure.By far better than LA Fitness on 410W at Blanco Rd. They need new management!

many inconsistencies in payments. Very annoying to checking your payments all the time.
