The best place for anyone looking to start training or improve their game. Sensei Paulo and Sensei Adam go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Paulo puts an emphasis on his students feeling comfortable and confident, cultivating a great setting for families to come train together. I joined about 3 years ago, and my dad joined shortly after I did, I think we would both agree it was one of the best decisions we've ever made.

Great family feel to the gym. Very good environment for everyone from young kids to older adults. Awesome instructors and a great variety of classes. Recommend this place.to anyone.

A training facility that offers something for all ages and experience. Everyone who trains here is nice and embraces the learning style environment. Higher belts always work with you to ensure your learning proper technique and the instructors are world class.

I’ve met leaders in my life who I’ve followed because I had to, and ones who I’ll follow because I want to. Professor Fernando is someone I look forward to training under as long as I possibly can. Jesus is a great Muay Thai instructor with an apparent desire to teach people his craft. I’m a better person because of knowing these men. Hats off to everyone involved with this gym. Paulo and San Diego BJJ welcomed me without hesitation as a transplant from the east coast. All of the instructors are very engaging and SDBJJ easily feels like a second home to me. Whether you are just starting out, or a seasoned grappler, SDBJJ has a spot for you!

Had my sister signed up here for a few months while she was staying with us.As a complete newbie she had so much fun and was provided a ton of guidance and services.Located well and easily accessible, this family friendly and professional establishment I would recommend to all of my family and friends.Once my boys are a bit more grown I will be signing them up.Thanks for all of your help SDBJJ!

SDBJJ has the best instructors! The schedule flexibility is perfect for anyone with a constantly changing schedule like myself. And the school has a great mixture of judo, gi, and no-gi jiu jitsu throughout the week! I couldn’t be happier with my selection!

This place is amazing. There are no other words. The teachers, the other parents, the kids, everything is wonderful. Sensei Adam told me our first day that they teach these kids integrity and that has been something that has really stuck with me. Sensei Dillon is the most incredible teacher for these young kids/toddlers. My son has the best time in his classes and does two classes a day, 5 days a week. I love the behavioral improvement I’m already seeing in my almost 4 year old and I’m so thrilled to see him grow within this organization and become a respectful and kind young man. I couldn’t imagine better role models for my son than Paulo, Adam & Dillon! Thank you SDBJJ!
