Showed up on my first day on 3/21/2017 and never looked back. This place is clean, safe and supportive. Love the community!

Horrible with kids. Students mostly running the 4-6 year old staff. Mike insulted my 4 year olds, didn’t make it fun and ruined the sport for them. They won’t try another gym after this place.

Mike and 7 of his students and coaches came to our academy (Renzo Gracie Reno) and they were a wonderful addition to Saturday morning’s open mat. They were extremely courteous, controlled, friendly, and had a great jiu-jitsu game - if that’s any indication of how they run their academy, then we highly recommend you pay them a visit. They’re welcome back anytime!

I have trained at Danville Jiu-Jitsu since its doors opened in early 2012. Though my work requires heavy travel and my family requires my time (I’m a husband and father of three), I manage to train on the weekends I am home. And two of my three children have also trained there. Each time I train, I’m able to learn something from my instructors and training partners - lessons about the art of jiu-jitsu and life itself. There is a sacred level of mutual respect, love, and patience at Danville Jiu-Jitsu. There’s also a deep competitive vibe to the school, where students are inspired to perform and compete at their best. The instructors are world class and have trained with the likes of Ralph and Cesar Gracie, Caio Terra, and other high-caliber practitioners. The backgrounds and skills of my instructors and training partners run the gamut, from weekend warriors like myself to high level UFC and IBJJF competitors and winners.Danville Jiu-Jitsu has become a second home and family for me. I highly recommend the school for all skill levels and ages. You will find yourself welcomed with open arms, as well as friendly armlocks and chokes.

My kids and I all train here and I can't say enough how awesome the team is here. It's not unusual to have three black belts running the kids classes and the ratio of teacher to student is great. In addition to quality instruction, there is an emphasis on fun and rolling, so kids get plenty of mat time to practice what they've learned. Adult classes and open mats are similarly well run. There is a good balance of hard core competitors and dads/moms who struggle to find time to train consistently. All are treated equally and there is no attitude by anyone in the gym. Like the kids classes, it's not unusual to have several black belts in a class and many more in open mat sessions.

I've been training with the instructors at Danville Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling for many years now. I enjoy the teaching style, the program and the overall vibe of the gym. Mike and Stephanie bring a wealth of knowledge to the realm of grappling. But what I love the most is the network of friends and practitioners who gather to train and learn from one another.Thank you for everything that you do!!

Danville Jiu Jitsu club is an incredibly great club to train Jiu Jitsu ! My daughter and I proudly train here. Lots of kids of all sizes and skills, lots of coaches at each class, plus lots of experience adult student to train with.... there is plenty of excellent training here in a very open and chill environment. I highly recommend this club. Come try out some classes and see for yourself.

Without a doubt, the best place in the Bay Area, for both kids and adults, to learn and train Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing. Adam, Stephanie, Mike, Daniel and all the other coaches are gifted instructors who truly care about the development and well-being of all their students. You will not find a better student-to-coach ratio anywhere. The atmosphere is so inviting here that after watching our son in class, my wife and I stepped up and onto the mat ourselves. Come join us!

My son I have been training at Danville Jiu Jitsu for a number of years. My son 5+ years and myself 3+ years. This is a very comfortable environment for learning Jiu Jitsu. The coaches are awesome, each bring a variety of different skills to make classes interesting for all. The members of Danville Jiu Jitsu and open mats are terrific and many of them have become close friends. If you or your family want to learn in a comfortable environment, this is the place for you.

Danville Jiu Jitsu has the BEST coaches and technique. They have helped my son & daughter to grow both physically and mentally to be their best. The coaches take time to grow and challenge each student which in return cultivates self confidence, character and growth. I love sending my kids to train with amazing coaches and mentors!
