I switched over from planet fitness and I’m starting to regret it. I was happy that EōS has more machines and equipment but for a brand new gym, a lot of the machines were broken, it’s over crowded so you can hardly get the machines you want without a wait and someone left a treadmill running at full speed in cardio cinema so i couldn’t see or hear that it was on but why would I check to see if some careless person left a machine running. So I was injured pretty bad. Most treadmills shut off themselves. This one was left running. That is a serious hazard and could have landed someone in the hospital. When I told a staff member at the front desk he grinned as I told him and acted like it was funny. So my experience so far hasn’t been positive and I will probably consider going back to planet fitness where it’s safer.

Nice new gym. Lots of equipment and a good vibe. Locker rooms and bathrooms could use a better maintenance schedule.

Allow me to regale you with the extremely confusing tale of my brief, yet highly upsetting experience at EoS Fitness in Sandy. Read until the end because this is honestly the wildest experience I have ever had with any business in my life.I just moved to the area and am shopping around for a new gym. I signed up for the 7-day free trial advertised on their website, thinking it would be a good way to check it out without committing. When I get there, I was passed around between 3 people until one eventually took me to his desk. Immediately, he launches into a sales pitch, telling me that I can surrender my 7-day trial to instead sign up immediately with a big discount on their otherwise $200 startup fees. I tell him that I would prefer to use my trial period. After I say that, a guy walks up from behind and tells me that he's "trying to protect me" and wants to make sure that I'm not "overpaying" because I could sign up "RIGHT NOW" for, and he made sure to emphasize, "ONE PENNY!!!"I again told them that I just wanted to do the trial. The second guy walked away and the first guy told me that I was "good to go" and to enjoy my workout. I was confused because I wasn't sure how they would know that I had the trial because I wasn't given a card or an account or anything. He told me that all I needed to do was give the front desk my phone number. I then went and gave the front desk my phone number, and they did, in fact, have my name. I was again told, "Have a good workout!"Not 1 minute after I had entered the gym area to start my workout, the guy who walked up from behind during the sales pitch aggressively walks towards me and says, "Hey! Didn't I just talk to you?" I tell him yes. He continues, "You were doing the 7-day free trial?" I confirm that I am.He then says, "No, you don't have a free trial." I ask him what he means, and he says, "My associate told me that you just got up and walked away during the sign-up process, and you never filled out the form." I told him that I never was given a form at all, and that I was told everything was in order and to enjoy my workout. He then cuts me off and asks, "Do you have a valid Utah driver's license?" As I just moved here, I did not. He replies, "Then you're not even eligible for a free trial because you have to have a valid Utah driver's license! You're trespassing on private property, and I'm going to have to ask you to leave!"Completely bewildered, and suspecting a simple miscommunication, I tried to clarify what the first salesman told me, to which he replied that he was the BOSS, before escorting me out of the building. This entire experience lasted not maybe 10 minutes, by the way, so I don't think this was just an issue with that particular branch because this whole thing ran like a well-oiled machine. Learn from my apparent mistake and avoid this sorry excuse for a business like the plague.

The music volume is SUPER loud sometimes. Even at 4am when there's no one there. It's been a problem since the day it opened.Otherwise it would be a five star gym.

The manager, Paola, is terrible with customer satisfaction. I had 3 referrals on my account and was called by the staff back in February to schedule 3 free training sessions (the reward for 3 referrals). When I went to schedule them in August, Paola told me they were not valid. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, or attempting to make it right, she stuck to her guns and did not offer the free sessions I was promised in February. To be clear, I have been a member since December before they opened, and have been working with a personal trainer there for two months. They just lost a good customer as soon as my contract is up.

I want to shoutout Cam one of your front desk workers, he’s a good guy and he feels proud to be working here by showing us around and asking how they could’ve improve the experience here. From Ruben Barboza
