I’ve been going to this gym 3+ times a week for about five years now and I think they do a great job! The only thing I’d change is when they open. I wish they opened at 5am everyday, including the weekend. The shower room could really use a remodel or at least regular cleaning. Real cleaning. The showers are gross and never have soap. The floor doesn’t drain well. There is about an inch of dust on top of the lockers.

I can't say enough good about this place. Jeff taught us our belay class. He was great everyone is so positive and helpful. Staff and clients. Week with it team building for my boys, great exercise and confidence boosting. I don't think I'd be able to get back into to climbing, but they made it possible!

The gym is great and I was very impressed with the staff, especially Nelly. Nelly took time to hang out with my group and help us with some boulder problems. Hire more people in the same vein!

If you go here to belay, you're in luck. Bouldering... Not so much. There is only a small cramped back corner section for bouldering, and routes are rarely changed. The whole building smells like stinky feet constantly. The smell is not an issue at the Lehi location. I've also witnessed people climbing without shoes. So it seems to be a sanitation issue. If you're wanting to boulder I'd suggest going 15-20 minutes south to the Lehi location. This location is close to my home so I'll continue going as it is decent enough to get a climb in.

The facility is nice but I have a very difficult time with the management. It just feels like the team is trying to keep you from climbing. Very unwelcoming environment overall which has been inconsistent with my experience at other gyms. Even the momentum in Lehi is vastly different from this one.

Been going for a few years now. But.. have a baby or toddler? Forget . They basically tell you to go put them in a locker. Even if you come at 8am. We will come back in 3 yrs I guess. At least I save a couple of hundred a month and get to go to AF more! Sort of an allegory for todays society, the more left you go the further right you end up!

Our work team decided to spend Friday morning climbing. Everyone was so helpful getting our group belay tested and geared up. We had a great time and would recommend Momentum to anyone wanting to have a good climbing experience.

It’s always hopelessly crowded. Of course the business isn’t going to turn people away, but the staff could do a MUCH better job at controlling crowds - especially classes with small children. There’s children running around in unsafe places, in unsafe ways and the staff does nothing to address it. If anything, they egg it on.Kids running underneath ropes, hitting belayers - don’t get me started on the bouldering cave. It’s even worse in there. Kids literally running underneath climbers who are REGULARLY taking ground falls from the top of the wall. Someone is going to get hurt. Kids will be kids, but if they’re in a class, there should be at least SOME management of the group and some basic safety training. As for upstairs - why have the yoga studio closed all the time? What a horrid waste of space! The free weights get really crowded and the equipment is limited. Having the yoga studio accessible outside of class times would give people more room to do light work with dumbbells or body weight stuff and would make the whole experience far more pleasant.UPDATE: after posting this original review, the manager reached out to tell me why I’m wrong about everything I wrote here. So, it’s not getting better any time soon.

Hey I am member here and I love Sandy momentum. You really need to pay attention on kids. I usually only do boulder. There are so many cute kids jump, roll over and run fast, chase after each other. I have to very careful when I do boulder, if I drop, I might hit them. I like kids but I don’t want them stay in the area where I can drop. You need to provide tutorial and instructions for those fist time visitors !!! I think they are not mean to it but it’s super dangerous. Although they all sign the waiver but still you should do your job to educate kids in order to avoid accident!
