VASA Fitness

This is the smaller of the 2 nearby Vasas. It's usually crowded and it's hard to find available equipment. The ez curl and straight bars on the rack stop at 60 pounds. There's usually cardio equipment available. If you're doing more than that, you'll have to get creative with your workout.

Was forced to return here after 24 hour closed. Had to pay startup fees and "rate guarantee fee" despite this transfer of my membership against my wishes. When I canceled, I had to pay this AGAIN. Theft would be more classy. A great deal of their equipment is damaged, inoperable, has under repair signs (for months). Far too busy even at odd hours. Need to expand or move to a larger location. Staff is friendly and it’s the only gym nearby aside from treehouse so most people won’t leave as there are no other choices. Wish they would treat their members like they matter and accommodate them rather than sit quietly knowing the monopoly. Once another gym opens in the area it will be a mass exodus unless they start upgrading.Now their employees don’t even show up and they make you drive to a different location. This gym is awful.

Overall I enjoy this vasa gym. I’ve been to a couple others and this one is a little smaller but some workers here are not very enthusiastic about their job. Some of the guys are actually pretty willing to help with anything you might need and the manager has actually been kind every-time I’ve come in. There is one girl here that has just been not the kindest. I don’t want to single her out too much but today is when my payment was due but didn’t go through and she kind of blurted out that not only was my payment not accepted but I had a $25 return fee. I felt she said this very condescending. It felt a little unprofessional. I asked if it was a problem today and she graciously let me workout today. You decide if you think that’s normal but I felt what I think is unnecessary embarrassment. I gave 3 stars because most the guys have been more helpful and I think would have let me know more easily instead of acting like I’m delinquent. You might want to decide wether it’s worth spending money for a more friendlier staff elsewhere or to just use it to fuel a good workout. I just needed to voice my discomfort today.

Great Gym!And if they cleaned up/switched out this shower curtain that had mildue or mold on it; I believe they'd have a better customer experience & company image.(I've brought the shower curtain to them a few times over a span of a week or more. Maybe the shower curtains are on back order.. maybe the emoyees just don't care. Either way it proves to be a poor company image & provides a less than wholesome customer experience.)Everything else, I'd say is great!

Love the staff that works this location. The girls are always very nice to me and friendly. We joke around a lot. They make it a better gym than it actually is, because the equipment is limited and somewhat outdated compared a big five star gym, and the layout is somewhat narrow and long. I just prefer a bit more space for busy times and peak hours. Also, and as is the case with pretty much every Vasa out there now, the hours totally suck! The operating hours are the worst part of getting a membership here. They just suck…. All around the place achieves whatever you set out to do when u sign up here. It gets the job done, that’s all that matters I guess.

I like how I can choose from a large variety of equipment and amenities to exercise with. Staff is always friendly and helpful when I greet and speak with them. I also wish that I really felt like I was getting something special with the 2nd level of pricing for my money. I really didn’t find it worth it to spend twice as much for things I couldn’t even use (class times and variety were at hard times I couldn’t make because of my work schedule), equipment wasn’t well kept (dirty and equipment was deflated), and the bathroom for swimming always lacked soap to clean myself. I like this place and want to see things improve. That’s why I left a hopeful and helpful review to help the company rethink a few things in case I’m ot the only one thinking this :).

They don’t value the time of their patrons. The gym is supposed to open at 5:00 AM but for the 3rd time in 30 days I’m sitting in my car and it’s 5:30 AM and the gym is dark. If Im going to pay for a membership I expect people to up hold their end of the bargain. I shouldn’t wake up and think to myself - I wonder if the gym is going to be open when I get there.

They have everything you need to get a solid workout in. Double sets of dumbbells up to 75s, single sets up to 115s I think. Lots of machines. Lots of barbells (just standard barbells - no texas bars, etc.). Amazing value and space for the price. Worth every penny. Best $ to pump ratio I've ever gotten from a commercial type gym. Place is clean too. I go at like 3pm though, so if you go during rush hours, might be more packed.

I don't have a membership here because there is not a branch near my house in Saint George, Utah. But I do a lot of work for this company helping with some of the remodels. That being said I can say for sure that this company puts a lot of time and money into making all the improvements they can to be the very best gym possible. The friendly staff are the nicest people to work with. These gyms are always clean and tidy. The members are always happy to be there. This is a great company to work for!

Decent gym, not very crowded. It has the basics. I’d appreciate if this gets fixed in the women’s bathroom all the toilet paper dispensers are broken.
