I've been coming to Crossfit Rise for about 6 months. It's the best gym I've ever been a part of. Not only are the facilities great, the coaching and hands on training is incredible. I've never been more excited to go work out especially at 6:30 AM. I love being challenged and seeing progress. Signing up for my first class was the scariest but best thing I've ever done. If you're in the Schaumburg area, make sure to drop by!

I have been a member of CrossFit Rise for almost 2 years now and a member of various other 'franchise' gyms for over 20 years. I have also sampled a few other crossfit gyms in the area. This is hands down by far the best gym in the area and here is why....The staff, facility, equipment, location, quality instruction and challenging 'WODs' are top notch. The trainers and staff are all friendly and truly care about helping you reach your individual goals. Many people do not realize that crossfit is for all age types and fitness levels. The instructors are phenomenal and the various programs offered cater to your specific needs based on your fitness level. I am no longer bored with the weekly mundane scripted traditional workouts I might get at any other gym that offers 'group' classes. At Rise, expect the unexpected and be prepared to challenge your body to a level you have not reached before. Also, CrossFit Rise has continually improved the facility and equipment and expanded the schedule with many more classes and programs that meet the needs of everyone. What I enjoy best is the diversity of the workouts and the energy everyone feeds off from one another to succeed and do their best. I also cherish the community of 'friends' that I have met while being a member here. I highly encourage Rise for anyone who wants to get to that next level that they won't obtain at any other traditional gym. It is hands down the best CF gym!

Great Gym Better People. I stopped in here after work one day to get a quick workout in. I was immediately welcomed by Thomas the coach and he introduced me to the workout and the class members for the day. The atmosphere was fantastic, the locker rooms were clean, and best of all the community was friendly. I would highly recommend Crossfit Rise to anyone in the area that is looking to drop in or is looking for a positive gym environment to change their life. Great work Thomas, and other fellow coaches, I will be spreading the good word.

First and foremost, CrossFit IS NOT A CULT, it is a community. OK, now that we got that out of the way, let's get on with the review. I've been coming to CrossFit Rise for about 3 years now (2 years at a different CrossFit gym) and this is hands down the best box I've ever been to. They have a huge space, great equipment, knowledgeable coaches, and most importantly a great network of people/friends.If you're completely new to CrossFit, worry not since you will begin in a fundamentals class (Fitness Class) which will teach you proper form and all of the weightlifting and gymnastics movements before graduating to the Performance Classes. I know it can feel intimidating walking in to a CrossFit gym but everyone is friendly and helpful here so there's nothing to sweat over. Also, all of the workouts can be scaled down if you're hurt or aren't able to do all of the movements. There's basically no reason not to join this gym. You'll meet a ton of new people and learn to push yourself mentally and physically further than you ever thought possible. Why are you still reading this? Go and contact CrossFit Rise and join in on the fun workouts!

Awesome facility with friendly, knowledgeable coaches to help you become stronger and more fit. They have a class specifically designed for beginners so that you learn proper and safe movements patterns to avoid injury (Justin is one of the best coaches I have ever met for beginners, as he really takes the time to teach you correctly and has a great sense for how the body should move). They also have a performance class which is a step above the beginners/fitness class, and a competition class as well. They have one of the best Olympic weight lifting coaches working at the gym to help you become a better weight lifter if that's what you want. Plenty of class times throughout the day as well as open gym times. Great community and great people!

I've been coming to Crossfit Rise about 3 months now and love it! The coaches are great and very knowledgeable. I've tried out another crossfit gym in the past and did not feel comfortable there because the movements were not taught properly. Justin teaches the beginners class at Rise and is a fantastic coach who ensures we learn the proper movements and technique. I was intimidated when I first started crossfit but now I am so excited to get to the gym everyday and see what new skills I can learn. The atmosphere at Crossfit Rise is very welcoming and encouraging and I've made many new friends there.

I've been a member at Rise for almost 4 years and it keeps getting better! The coaching staff is amazing and the experience they bring to the gym is incredible. Regional athletes, Olympic coaches, etc. It's incredibly motivating! Rise has a great atmosphere that can make anyone who walks in feel welcome immediately. The multi teared programming is excellent for those who come to crossfit with all ranges of athletic backgrounds. From former college athletes to those at the beginning of their fitness journey, there's something for everybody. The progress you make in the sport of crossfit is unlike any other sport I've played. It's fun, empowering and constantly varied. You never get bored!

I've been coming to Rise since July and I love it! Justin is a fantastic coach and I have learned so much from him! I had been working out prior to joining Rise, but had never tried CrossFit. I was super nervous it would be too hard, but it's been wonderful! All of the coaches work with you to teach you the right movements and will help you adjust the workouts to fit your needs.

Two excellent coaches, Farrah and Justin. Excellent facility. On the outside appears to be a home run. Proceed to the inside and find a different story. On the inside you'll find typical CrossFit mentality where if you're not a competing athlete, the level of respect displayed towards you will be less than what is professional and deserved as a patron. Voice your concern you may say? Falls on deaf ears. Excuses for behaviors that are "less than favorable" from special privilege athletes and coaches will be made by the owner, and blame will be turned around on you, and you'll be left mid month without a place to workout or a feeling of self worth as a patron.Garbages are always overflowing. Bathroom facilities tend to have paper garbage on counters. Competition athletes frequently leaving barbells / other equipment out for beginner class to pick up. Very thankless environment for those that thrive on community and comraderie. If you do choose to begin / continue crossfit here I'd recommend learning the pecking order ASAP if you're like me and don't enjoy being condescended and disrespected, should you unknowingly agitate a special athlete and / or coach. There are coaches and fellow patrons worth staying for so this is my advice if you're looking for a CrossFit home in the area. Otherwise, I'd explore other options if you have them. I've attended four different boxes since I started CrossFit in 2009. This is tied with my first box for worst overall treatment experienced. Definitely more well polished boxes available, depending on your location.

I was a member at CF Rise for 4.5 years before moving away from Schaumburg, IL. I was incredibly sad to go! CF Rise is more than just a gym, it is a family. The coaches at Rise really know their stuff, and go above and beyond helping you learn the lifts/movements while also maintaining safety. When I had first started, I had no experience with lifting and I was not a very athletic person... I have grown so much as an athlete since then! The atmosphere is inviting and everyone is friendly. I highly recommend checking out CrossFit Rise, whether you are a novice or an elite athlete, or just dropping in -- they offer many classes for your experience level!
