I will be writing on behalf of myself, as an adult, who came into the gym solo about a year ago. (If you’re interested in reading reviews about the kids classes, then there are other reviews that cover that aspect)I am one of those people that has a hard time deciding when I am given a large amount of options to choose from. There are hundreds of cars to choose from, thousands of clothes, and yes, even tens of martial art gyms in my area. I often ask myself, “did I make the right decision? Could I have chosen something better?” BUT with this Brazilian JiuJitsu gym that is P3, I am very confident I have made the right decision. The environment is positive, the people are motivating, there are plenty of classes throughout the day, and there is a large variety of skill. The coaches are fun and outgoing, but they do get serious when it comes time to work. The people that come to the classes vary widely in professions and personality, so it was easy to find friends. I highly recommend P3! To end this review off, if you are like me, and you’re not sure which martial arts gym to pick, choose this one(:

My boys and I go here. So glad I found this place. There's a real community atmosphere. They have a great kids program that includes character development, which I like. And I love attending the women's and regular adult classes. A very supportive environment and I feel very empowered building my strength and my BJJ skills. Just great coaches and great people all around.

I've been coming to P3 martial arts for almost 8 months and I absolutely love this place. People are amazing, it is very easy to make friends here. Coaches are very good at explaining technique and are very skilled. I will recommend this place to anyone. This is definitely one of the nicest gyms and definitely one of the cleanest gyms that I've been to. Best Brazilian jujitsu place that I've been to.

I signed my son up at P3 after researching other local martial arts academies and have not regretted it. The coaches are top notch and are amazing with the kids. They are very organized and excellent at communicating. I love how they focus on building strong character along with strong bodies. It’s really more of a family there than a gym. I started training there as part of the women’s program and just canceled my membership at a different local gym because I love the curriculum and variety at P3 and would rather be there. Also, I’m short on time and whenever I do find it, would rather be training at P3 lol. If you’re on the fence, call and set up a time to come and check out a class & talk to the coaches! You won’t regret it either :)

We saw the special that they were running around the beginning of the year . I knew Dominic who is 4 years old would love it . So we waited til there was an opening. When his class started he was very intimated and nervous . He would just sit and watch with tears in his eyes . Then at home he would show his dad all the moves he saw , so I knew he wanted to do it.We learned about open mat on sundays so my husband decided to take him . That was all Dominic needed. The children and adults that were there were so welcoming. A boy named Dean helped Dominic to overcome his shyness and they were inseparable. From then on Dominic has loved every minute. The coaches have been amazing. They are caring and concerned while being in control of 3 and 4 year olds. They have taught Dominic such confidence. We love how much of a family it feels like. Everyone is friendly and involved. We are very thankful to have found this great place and can't wait to see Dominic grow.1-18-19 Update: My son Dominic has been at P3 for 2 years . He still struggles with change but the coaches and his friends of all ages make him feel so comfortable. He’s done a competition and his confidence just exploded . The coaches are there for him through every stage. Highly recommend for both boys and girls.

That’s the priority in selecting places , right?Hope this helps you decide ;-)

My daughter has been training here for over two years. She loves the coaches and has made a lot of friends. I've seen a positive change in her attitude thanks to P3. Keep up the great work!

My daughter was asking about learning to defend herself and her friends from bullies before she went into middle school. She's always been tall for her age and has an athletic build, but she didn't want to hurt others or be hurt. Like many parents who do their research on martial arts, I decided Jiu Jitsu fit the bill. We looked around at a handful of the schools in the area at the time, nearly five years ago. Most places gave us a brief tour, handed us pamphlets, a schedule and asked us to call. My socially awkward preteen and I did not feel welcome.I dragged her to one more school. We were greeted warmly when we walked in. During the tour, the then owner asked why we were looking into classes. We sat down and he listened to our story of her wanting to be prepared to deal with bullies. In the car she told me she liked this school. I signed her up. Nearly 5 years later, my family, the coaches and I have watched her confidence grow and blossom. She has trained under every instructor the school has had. She's had to set goals, define her values, act out and live those values. She is now a Junior in high school and trains with the adults. She has had the confidence to stand up to bullies, defend herself and her friends. She stands taller now both physically and figuratively than she did then.We are all so proud of her amazing growth. We've told other friends as well, some have completed trials and subsequently joined. They now have similar stories of seeing a huge spike in their kids' confidence. The other reviewers say it well, this place becomes a second home. I can honestly say we have true friends here. She sees the coaches, especially Coach John and Coach Brian as father figures. She talks about Coach Argel like a brother. They understand and accept her, exactly as she is, still a bit socially awkward but witty.I think that meet-you-where-you-are approach is why from a kids class of 8 or so, P3 has grown to three separate kids classes with at least 15-20+ students in each. There are at least three other families that have had their children training three or four years. We see each other outside the school all the time. (The adult classes have grown too, but I don't have a before number). If you are looking for a place where everything centers around competition, this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for personal development of mind and body, stop by, that's what they specialize in.
