TLDR: fun way to get a full body workout with friends!Tip: sign the waiver forms online in advance! Keep an ample amount of chalk in your hands at all times! You don't want to rub skin off, trust me!Parking: small private lotService: check in at the counter, get your shoe rentals and a bag of hand chalk. If you are new to Momentum, you will watch a short intro/safety video.Atmosphere: spacious and music plays in the background but is honestly ignorable and not too overpowering. Just the right volume. There is a variety of levels VB being the easiest and V16 the most difficult. They are marked with white tags at the beginner of each rock color set. There is regular weight lifting and other body building equipment and well as grip training walls. I'm amazed at how some people can hold on to just a sliver of ledge!!!There is a separate closed off room in the back left corner for lounging but it is quite echoey. Poor acoustics. The back left corner also has simple electronic lockers to use and store your belongings. There are instructions on the back of the lock on how to set it. The lockers are a good size and can fit a large backpack. To the right of the lockers is a hand washing station to clean chalk off your hands. Use that knee pad to turn the water on!Overall great place to obtain sore forearms haha. I do personally prefer the Seattle Bouldering Project though because they have more space, equipment and foam rollers.

A clean and excellent facility, friendly staff, fun routes! I signed up the two-week pass that include the intro class, unlimited access in two weeks, and free rental shoes and chalk bags. Super affordable price.I've been to other place in town and it was crowded and smelly. Here I definitely had a great experience! The routes were not too crowded. For beginners, they also provided different styles routes. The routes were not too high, but were challenging enough for you do work out.Lastly, they value a lot to safety. The facility offers plenty safe down climbing anchors for beginners, and their routes are not very high compared to the other climbing facility in town. It helps a lot for me as a beginner.

I spent almost 30 minutes speaking with the staff here before climbing. They were not only friendly but insightful. I found the place to be immaculately clean and well organized. As someone newer to bouldering, most of the routes were too difficult, but I found a few that were interesting and offered a healthy challenge. I highly recommend this place to any intermediate or advanced climbers and could tell they the more experienced climbers were having a good time. For beginners, Seattle Bouldering Project is a better place to start your journey.

This is a great gym. Regular route resets. Good quality and variety. Always clean with none of the old feet smell of many gyms. Good quality gym equipment. While it does get busy, it’s not nearly as bad as some of the other gyms. Well run.

Great small workout equipment set off in the corner. It has been forever since I climbed or bouldered, it was a great workout. I really liked the place. Parking was great and easily accessible. Rates are reasonable for a climbing gym of this size with an equipment set.Has a great hydration area and people understand routing and not to cross routes. It was very pleasant.

This gym is a real gem with a wide variety of boulder problems in different styles. If you like a challenge, in a less crowded space, this is the bouldering gym for you! The workout space is fantastic, the hand washing station outside the bathroom is genius, and the showers and lockers are the best I've seen at a climbing gym yet! After you've finished your workout, replenish with great food from Paseo's or other delish spots, and hang out at Monkey Loft for some great DJ-ing and dancing for a well-rounded day!For more critical details:+ They use actual V-Grades+ They have a wide variety of hard problems+ You are unlikely to fall on someone wandering around not paying attention, b/c of the intelligent layout+ No waiting to climb the problem you want to try+ If you like they gym as a dating scene, you have a wide variety of after-climb activities within walking distance

This is a great gym. If you want to take up climbing or have thought about trying climbing for the first time and this place is near you do hesitate to go here for your first time. The climbing is excellent and you can ditch your other gym membership because they have a first-rate regularly gym built in with cardio equipment and everything.Okay, climbers let’s talk. I’ve been climbing in Seattle for five years. I traditionally had as my main gym Seattle Stone Gardens and I loved it. I like the staff there and I know all the setters, the regulars, and the owner. Nice guy drives a cool car as his everyday driver rain or shine which is fun. I have also climbed extensively at SBP, Bel Stone G, climb Tac, and many gyms near the places I’ve been for the army. Most gyms have something good about them and I think if you’ve been climbing for a while then it makes sense to go climb outside your home gym for the verity and I’m sure you agree so first if you haven’t tried Momentum you should stop in for a day pass. Second, the facility is as nice as SBP was when it was brand new but a single story. Lastly, the setting is more challenging the SBP and I think you’ll find it competitive with SG/SGB. It’s much bigger then climb Tacoma and new so unless you’re just living down south I cannot think of a reason to not make that the trip. Come by and try it. For reasons of construction on the highway, I started going here but it’s a good gym and I will be staying even after the tunnel opens. That said as I mentioned I will still go to all the other gyms so if I don’t see you at my new home I’ll see you around.

New and fun! Great variety of problems and training equipment. There is a moon wall and free weights. Large top out boulder in the middle of the gym. $68 per month for a single membership. A great bouldering option for the growing sport. No rope climbing here.
