A lot bigger than is looks from the outside. Staff is cool, the people who frequent the gym are normal looking professionals. Limited parking though, sometimes you have to park across the street and walk... Extra cardio. I would recommend.

I'm a gym rat and went here to help out someone to give them some pointers on strength training.Overall, the gym is great! Lots of weights and machines (converted Hammer strength to selectable weight from plates)...dumbbells up to 60lbs, four Smith machines with adequate plates, and lots of adjustable benches and two cable machines along with pull-down and row cable machines.However, there are no squat racks, benches, or Olympic bars.Of course, there is a ton of cardio equipment with treadmills, bikes, and even rowing machines.It's well setup too with lots of space. Nothing is jammed in and cramped.You probably won't be able to train for a strong man contest here...but it's solid.

Pay no attention to the few cranky peeps, the Crooks Rd location is top notch! I've recently made it my new home base. Great selection of circuit training equipment as well as free weights and, of course, GOBS of cardio equipment. Even when it's busy, the vibe is chill, members are polite (or mind their own, at least) and the staff is friendly & helpful. Southfield and Oak Park locations - y'all should take notes. Coming here was like a breath of fresh air. (For a gym, that's saying something... lol)

I recently had to cancel my membership to Planet Fitness, due to the need of child care.BUT I have no complaints. Planet fitness Rocks, they are affordable, friendly, and so many amenities for a great price.I recently had questions about my cancellation and Grace was able to answer and help me out! Thank you!

Very disappointing about how few people were wearing masks in the midst of this omicron outbreak. Also I wish that the machines were in better condition some of them don't work at all.No hand sanitizer stations anywhere except in the bathroom and at the front desk. And also there should be more social distancing promoted. The machines are piled on top of each other. We can do better

My dad goes there to work out. He has COPD so outside is not really an option, and it is an air conditioned building.Oh, oops wait they turned the air up so it is even hotter. When asked about it, I was told it was because corporate told them to to save a few bucks. I was charged all during the Covid closures and can’t get a response back, though clearly I wasn’t using the facility. I would really like to hear back from someone who can actually help me and not pass the complaint off to some other person who knows zero.

I travel alot for work, and am thankful for being a Black Card member. Knowing this, I was extremely disappointed with how this Planet Fitness conducts business. They used predatory behavior to try to get me to switch from my home gym (Howell). Also, they require eye protection to use their tanning service, then proceed to charge a collective $2.65 rental fee for the same equipment. I was flabbergasted and disappointed that they are doing the exact opposite of what the Judgement Free Zone is supposed to be. If I was a shareholder in the company (I wouldn't publicly reveal thisin a review), I would be investigating the behavior this gym conducts.The cherry on top was the body language the staff gave me for not being home based in their gym. There's a lot of JUDGEMENT and FRICTION from the staff because I refused to partake in their behavior.I highly suggest removing the mandatory eyewear protection, lower the judgemental behavior, and back away from the membership poaching tactics. It's not a good look.

They make cardio fun and enjoyable to the point where I am excited to do it. From the first day, the trainers knew my name and have not forgotten it. They make a point to check in with you on your goals and sincerely want to help you reach them!

Would not recommend. Staff consist of young children, especially later in the evening who are very unprofessional and rude. Equipment is not properly cleaned, if you do decide to use this facility I recommend covering as much skin as possible to avoid exposure to tinea corpus.I used this gym as a back up due to close proximity to my home though I will not be continuing use secondary to poor staffing, lack of proper cleaning of equipment and overall poor experience. Though the gym is extremely cheap I still would not return .

If i could give 0 stars I would. I Came to this gym because i was near the area. The staff at this location was so RUDE to my guest, I cancelled my membership. I will never patronize Planet Fitness again and look forward to having a better experience at another gym.
