Genesis Health Clubs - St Joseph

Enjoyed the place until it came to canceling. Went in to cancel sat down with the employee and signed a paper saying I canceled my membership. Months later realizing they never canceled I called back and asked to talk to a manager as in why my membership was never canceled and they told me I would have to pay additional fees to cancel. So I asked to talk to his manager. From there on out it’s been a battle to figure out how to cancel a membership that I shouldn’t owe extra fees. Needless to say this is a very poorly ran business and I wouldn’t recommend anyone signing up.

I really enjoy the environment, and a majority of the staff especially, Jose, Brooke and Carson. Cardio tennis is a great class and I enjoy the instructors. I’ve just had really bad experiences with management especially being harassed for referrals from the club manager after repeatedly saying no.

I love the overall setup of the building as so much is offered there. The staff is professional yet takes a personal interest in your overall well being. Genesis is so much more than a gym. Thank you Ryan, Tim, Tiara, Lucy, and all the staff for making working out enjoyable.

Been at the health club for approx a week now. I have really enjoyed it at Genesis! The employees there are friendly and helpful. The trainers also have friendly and welcoming demeanors.I lived in a large city in the West Coast most of my life and Genesis is comparable (if not better) than the large Health Club I attended in the past. Genesis offers great amenties and perks. When you sign up for the club, you are offered many complimentary (FREE) classes to try out. Their club is large and clean!Locker room is very spacious and clean! Showers are nice and clean! They got a decent size pool also!Only downside is their driveway/entrance into the club is somewhat tight. Also, the parking lot could use some new pavement.(Sorry Genesis...I gotta be honest)All in all, really glad I decided to join!

I have been coming several times a week for five months and attended several classes. I’ve been impressed with each instructor! They are all knowledgeable, personable and caring. They are happy to adjust the activity to anyone’s specific needs. Can’t recommend Genesis enough! Come see for yourself. Kathy S.

I enjoy coming here very much. I love the atmosphere when I come here. The staff are friendly and welcoming when you come in.My favorite is their daily classes. Whether you prefer very early morning, morning or evening classes. There is a variety from Zumba, Group Blast to Group Power and Yoga to name a few.The instructors are very encouraging and keep you motivated as do your classmates.Sometimes they have special events and ways for you to win prizes.I highly recommend becoming a member to Genesis Health Club

The staff is always very friendly. My kids have done swim lessons there for the past 3 summers and they love it! The swim instructors help the little ones feel very comfortable in the water and my kids look forward to going back every year!

Can't express how great my experience has been here, Genesis has changed a lot in the last year for the better. GREAT CHANGES!!!! The new Training Manager is PHENOMENAL and has helped so many people including myself. The overall staff is also amazing. Definitely worth the membership! Hope all these great changes continue coming!

I have always loved coming to Genesis! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They really show they care about me and my fitness journey! Personal training is such a unique part in this journey because the training is tailored to each individual and just like the rest of the staff, the trainers really care! Group classes are so fun, especially boot camp and cardio tennis. Cardio tennis is great for beginners like me! The tennis pros make you feel great about your progress and let you know what to work on. Their private tennis lessons are great for those who want to take it further! I would confidently say that Genesis is the best gym I’ve been to and really exceeds expectations!

Genesis really has it all! Cardio Tennis is so much fun and keeps your heart rate up! My family enjoys the pool and hot tub as well as the large locker rooms for changing and storing bags. In regards to the equipment, there are so many options! It tends to get busy M-Th around 4-4:30 and space becomes limited, but do what works for your schedule; people tend to move off equipment quickly so you shouldn’t wait long, if at all. Genesis is worth a shot! Most of the people are friendly and courteous, others not so much. But such is life. I clean everything when I’m working out but find that I am one of the few that do. Be courteous and re-rack your own weights. It’s ridiculous how many weights I’ve racked for people…but I just count it as part of my workout and try not to let it frustrate me. It tends to get a bit dusty in there, especially around the machines and areas where foot traffic is limited; it might be helpful to have staff focus on dusting. If you have children, look into Mighty Camp! My kids were kept engaged, active, and learning throughout the summer while I was working! It was a win-win! I knew they were safe and cared for and staying fit and healthy..and not sitting around!
